Default Headlights For My Truck

I guess it could be old age, but I'm having a hard time seeing at night with the stock lights on my Ram. I really never use the highs and run lows and fogs. Is there a brighter bulb on the market that will help this ole man see better at night?

Hi there , I really would recommend this company in Connecticut called retro solutions HID lights ! I bought a set for my 2006 ram and loved them ! I paid around 150.00 for the whole hid kit with hi and low beams 55 watt bulbs . I installed the 6000 hid 55 watt lights in my fogs , also in my hi and low beams . They look awesome and bright ! Never had an issue with them or with retro solutions ! I recently installed hid lights in my fogs on my 2013 ram and they are much brighter than my trucks stock lights which I will be replacing any day now with my new hid light kit from retro solutions . Good luck

I just did a set of lows and fogs HID's, they are the way to go. Way better light output. And after I got all the right parts, took me maybe an hour and a half-ish to put it all in (of course going slowly to get it right)

If you don't want to spend the time or money on HID's, get some Sylvania Silverstar replacement bulbs. Much brighter than stock. You can get them at any autozone, oriely's, etc...they are alot cheaper online if you look around though

How well do HIDs work in non-projector housings? Typically, they are designed for projector housings. I would think focus and glare could be an issue.

My 350z and wife's Grand Cherokee have HIDs and the Ram's light output has been bothering me. Both are projector though.

I went with Projectors with HID headlights done by retro shop.Big improvement in light output. They are the best way to go because the projector is designed for the HID bulb. They were not cheap but it is complete setup with wire harness and everything else reqiured for them to work with your Ram. Customer service is excellent.

Any problems with TPMS light coming on? I've heard some kits have interference.

To do it right, it looks like you need to spend about $1400.
