Default Driving light help!

I'm looking into buying some new driving lights so I can see the road immediately in front of me. Should I get regular 6" halogen lights or would some 4" hid driving lights be alright? I've had his headlights but they glared too much. Would the driving lights glare as much? Sorry for the long post.

Thanks,
Colby

Hey Colby! I/we, could better answer your question if you throw up a pic of front of your truck.
But to answer your question as is, I would go with the 4" HID driving lights. How are you going to mount them up?

How it is now, but I intend in mounting new lights on top of the bumper in front of the grill. And I soon plan on building a heavy duty bumper. I like the brightness of HID, but I don't want to blind anyone.

Thanks,
Colby

They make projector fog/driving lights that would be perfect for your truck. Very nice truck, by the way. I'd go with the projectors with 35W HIDs at 5000k or 6000K. Make sure you post up a pic of the finished product.

Thanks! Do you have any suggestions as to which brands?

Hella and PIAA are good name brands. You'd probably be better off going with a generic brand though. Do a Google or Amazon search for projector headlights. There will be a ton options to choose from.

The best hid kits I have heard of for the money are either retro solutions or theretrofitsource they both come with a lifetime warranty and have great costumer service. Your looking in the $120-$150 for the kit and they are well worth it

I am like you and like HID's lighting performance, when I had my 2000 1500 quad I was leaning towards the CATZ-HID kit

Now I have my 2013 and looking at upgrading my high-beam section again

What is a good size of light housing to get? I am definitely not running HIDs in my headlights again.

Thanks,
Colby
