Default Sirrus XM Sucks

Sorry about the negative tone of the tittle.
For all you folks that have had problems with your S/XM losing signal, I have found a solution.
Transfer your Sirrus sporster, from your old vehicle that you saved, for some odd reason, plug it in, attach the antenna, power up, go to media on your dash and listen away no problem with loss of signal, plus I get all the stations that I want to listen to.
No more Oprah, hello Howard.
Nascar radio is not extra , like it is on S/XM.
This is not the best solution, but it is a fix, until someone figures out how to hack in to the computer and put Sirrus in there.
I would be willing to pay for the upgrade if Ram were to offer it.
My rant is over.
Other than this I love the truck.

Ya I don't get how a company that has merged want to charge extra for stern on one vehicle but include it another. BS
I have a Sirius account and stream Sirius through my iPhone Sirius app via the uconnect buetooth.
I'm pretty happy with uconnect and the speakers/sub etc.

I think it's a Canadian issue. I just called last week to add his channels and they said it was $4 extra cause he's considered premium on xm.

Anyone know which privider rams came with before the merger?
I'm guessing they were XM at least in canada.

My 11 Ram was Sirius and it was awesome. I was not happy to find out Ram switched to the XM side on my 13. I'm seriously thinking of getting a Sirius portable player vs. renewing with XM. I can't believe that when Sirius bought out XM they would be two separate divisions. I want my Sirius back!!!!

My guess is when we go to cancel xm at the end of the free year they might throw in Howard stern.

You can't get Sirrus or XM any more - it is all one company called SirrusXM. While both radio and satellite technologies still are in use, there is only one company to deal with that is setting the prices.

Just like cable TV, there are different packages. The package that Chrysler gives as a free trial does not include everything, which is not at all shocking.

There are plenty of deals out there when it comes time to start paying for it. Just Google for it and you will find deals. Last time I paid for it I was getting something like 60% off the regular price.

There is still a separation between the two. I was transferred from Sirius Canada support to xm canada support as the Sirius people couldn't find my radio in their database as it was an xm radio.
My brother who has a jeep has 1 free yr Sirius canada including stern.

I had Sirius since 06 or so, it has progressively got worse over the years. Our new 13 has a free subscription as far as I know, we don't even listen to it. MAYBE when we travel to the in laws in northern Ontario where there are no radio stations. I'm not talking signal, just programming. Too much crap to filter through, and the stuff I like is so terribly repetitive. For the price, the programming needs to improve, or price needs to improve IMO.

If you cancel they will usually offer 50% off the price.
