For my new system, I have only figured out what head unit I want to run. I am thinking of replacing the speakers, adding kicker panel speakers, and possibly adding a overhead speaker panel into the rear of my headliner. all of this mentioned stuff is prety easy for me, just time consuming. The hard part is deciding how far out there I want this stereo to go. I got ideas to add a pair of 12's under the back seat, and I might add a second (or third) amp to run all the door speakers and overhead speakers.
That's just funny right there. Mostly because I got one that does the same thing too...

Nice write up, Mike.

Will it ever be really "complete"?

Looks like a head scratcher to me! Anything electrical drives me nuts.

I have a 95 1500 also. The passenger side power lock doesn't always engage/disengage. Sometimes it just 'spins' but the door doesn't lock/unlock.

Slim; When you took out the parts from your 95, how much hassle was it getting this motor out? I plan on attacking this after the weather warms up. Banging knuckles in the freezing cold isn't high on my bucket list.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Dave

For me it was easy, but that was because i needed everything out. The hard part for you is going to be squeezing the motor out between the window regulator and all the wiring.

I was afraid of that. Oh well, I'll get around to it when it thaws out. Thanks.

to save a little bit of time, you can disconnect the wires from the speaker, window regulator and the door lock solenoid, and fish it out through the speaker hole.

Almost done with the power door conversion... I had to take time off of the project because of the weather... I should have it completed by the end of the week...

and FYI for those of you trying to do this on your own rig... have a donor vehicle and do one side at a time.
