Those Ecoboost make power when it full boost.....problem is, way more stress on all internal engine parts during full boost. Over time, I dont see them lasting long. You pull a heavy load in a truck, you want lowend torque...and to make power in the Ford, your pushing those twins on that V6.

Wow what a fire! I love it. Yea I don't have the link but It's just as another member stated it's all ford crap from truck to trailer. They dogged the ram. Had it in regular drive w/out tow haul & a.c. running. It may out tow the ram by a few but one thing all here that have an 8 can agree on. The remote start rumble when walking to your truck in a parking lot. It's almost a sense of pride! A 6 even w/ turbos aint giving you that satisfaction.

Ok, that guy is a moron (obvious since he bought a Ford) if he believed that the Egoboost V6 got 28 MPG. Never was that advertised (unless that's imperial gallons...).

---------------------

Egoboost is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. It's a V6 that drinks fuel like a V8...sometimes worse....all while being more expensive to buy/maintain/repair.

It's amazing how many sheep believed the hype. Ford would have been far better off if they sold it as an alternative to a light duty diesel...not a tree growing, polar bear saving Godsend of a engine that sipped fuel like a prius.

Commercials, we all know how that goes. Like the Viagra commercial where the guys in an old 4x4 Dodge using horses to get out of a mud hole, yet the front axle/wheels are just along for the ride (not engaged).

Our local sheriffs department, run HEMI patrol vehicles for a good reason. As for Cummins anything, who can argue (hands down on Cummins diesels). R...

Yea it's fact. The more air induced the more fuel induced to make the vehicle move. It may idle & roll under power of a natural 6 banger but once the turbos begin to pick up rpm it's a wrap. I must say at the least I wish we were making more ponies & torque at lower rpm's & throughout the range than mid to high. I know, I know. "Then you should've bought a diesel"! But I hate the smell of diesel exhaust, love two cycle but hate the smell of diesel exhaust. Not to mention at that point I'd have a 2500 series mega cab cummins powered ram. I say ram only cause I'm hung up on their look. But back to the focal point here. Yea give me my V8 hemi & big fuel tank to keep feeding her over a 6 banger any day. I think down the road a piece I wouldn't mind a cam swap & some head & rocker work to broaden my power band yielding me a bit more torque to move my ram a little easier down the road.

Or a RIPP supercharger! Then we can compare a blown motor to a blown motor.
