By golly your are right! Now I understand why the flash to pass is not as bright as the bright lights.

I've used Morimoto in the past. They're a 'quality' aftermarket HID, in my opinion. They are what I put into my RAM as well.

theretrofitsource.com - They are the main retailer/distributor for Morimoto. Customer service is great too.

I gave up on DDM when they started shipping kits straight from China.

I have ran them for about 5 years. Very hit and miss. I had a couple kits that ran for years with no issues, and more than a few that lasted months. The only real up side is they were/are so cheap I just bought a couple extra kits so I would have spares.

There is also a couple professional LED kits now available. They come with driver ballasts, lamps and are canbus compatible. Not just LED bulbs, kits just like HID. Claim is they are brighter than HID with much longer life span, instant on. Have yet to find anyone that's tried them however. Google "24v led canbus" and you will find a couple places selling packages. They appear to be reputable dealers. LED makes sense and Audi is using LED headlamps, just not approved for North America. I think that's just the slow pace of government to keep up with technology.

Got any idea on which Morimoto kit is needed for plug and plug with the factory projectors?

Thanks!

I just ordered a set from retro yesterday, they told me to order the 9012 mopar specific kit for the low beams, and the regular 9005 kit for the high beams. I have a 2014 Laramie with projectors.

I put HIDs in my 13 from Retro Solutions. They were very helpful. I did the "low" beam bulb (also opens up for high beam) and the fog lights. I am finding that I get enough light, that I rarely even turn on my high beams any more.
