Default Back up sensor

Has anyone added factory sensors to their truck? My laramie didn't come with them and I actually kind of miss them from my 2010.

My truck came with them, I leave them turned off, they seem annoying and arent the greatest judge of how close you are to something, maybe I need more time to get used to them

I don't think you will find very much info about people adding them since it requires holes to be drilled or a new bumper.

I personally love them because it's not about the distance you are to something its about something popping up back there when you are looking on the other side! Take for instance some person walking behind my truck while trying to back out...

I agree I liked them cause even though I have the camera it does help notify when something in expected pops up when checking other surroundings

I like my reverse warnings but holy cow I need front sensors or a camera. It is impossible to know where you are when pulling into a parking spot!

Mine came with them and they are usually off. I got the truck cause I wanted the camera for hooking up my trailer the sensors just annoy me they beep when I am still a pretty far from anything.

i love this forum, this is exactly what i was wondering myself. i had a 2010 ram with proximity sensors in the rear bumper and have had trucks since 2006 with these. last week i picked up a 13 Laramie that didn't have them. Wanted the truck with the 8 speed and it was the only 13 left with the transmission i wanted so i passed on the sensors....

does anyone know if this can be done, i know the truck is wired for them as the plug is in the factory position near the chassis, would be a direct plug and play, dealer may have to flash s/w.

thanks for your help.

I like mine, except for the distance between the 2 center ones
if there is a low post or rock that is in back of the center of the bumper
you would not know it was there, until it was too late

look by the 2 on my license plate

after that happened, i added the Parkview Camera

It can be done by just drilling holes into the bumper and adding chrome sensors. I wrote up a review here from when I had mine done a few weeks ago: http://www.ramforumz.com/showpost.ph...0&postcount=12. It won't hook into EVIC but I'm really happy with the way it works.
