Default Bocephus' Mod Thread PICS

Ordered my truck in Feb, (fully loaded Sport CC 4X4 black), it arrived Friday. Dealer didn't want to deal. Tried to take advantage of my love for the truck. Didn't work out. Bought a fully loaded '12 Flame Red Big Horn CC 4X4 Saturday at a different dealer. It has everything I ordered on the sport, minus leather, for $6,000 less. Could not be happier. LOVE the truck!! BTW, the first dealer called back Monday with a change of heart. Hate it for him.

Mods so Far:

Debadged - Used fishing line to cut the badges off. Then just peeled the foam adhesive off. Almost every one came off in one piece. Very easy, no need for heat guns or 3m wheels, nothing. Then cleaned with 3m adhesive remover, washed, and waxed. Did both sides in 45 minutes.

BT Catchcan

Magnaflow y-pipe (10778) and cat-back (16869) - My absolute favorite mod so far. The tips are AWESOME, plus the deep rumble is just what i was looking for. It's not obnoxiously "in yo face" loud, just a sexy low rumble that makes the truck sound like it's got a set (which it does). I highly recommend this kit. Just gonna put a pic of the tips.

Mods coming next week or two:
Finish up debadging the tailgate
N-FAB steps (dealer took the OEM ones off Monday)
Window Tint
Cover King Neoprene seat covers
Weathertech Floorliners
Leveling Kit (Bilstein 5100s, all 4, with 1" spacer in rear)

Eventually some tires, and Line-x bedliner.

I also painted that hideous silver antenna black. I guess that may not be worthy of listing as a "mod". If not, i beg your forgiveness lol

I put a K&N air filter in too. Maybe that will make up for the weak antenna painting.

Looks good, I've been wanting to change out those stock tips on my truck, are your's a clamp on style or are they welded. I've been having difficulty finding larger double walled exhaust tips

My tips came with the Magnaflow cat-back system (16869). They are 5" double-walled polished Stainless Steel. The tips were welded to pieces of pipe. The kit is designed to clamp on, but I took it to a muffler shop and had everything welded in.

The catch can "catches" oil that comes from your PCV valve into your throttle body and eventually into your intake. You see no performance gains, but it keeps your engine running cleaner. There are several manufacturers of catch cans, but I went with the Billet Tech. I just don't like the idea of oil getting in my intake. That's less room for fuel and air. Basically, it's a $150 mod that makes me feel better.

It catches oil that "backs up", the system originally has it just go through the intake assembly via the PCV valve, but that can actually reduce the longevity of your engine. So it's like Bocephus said, it's $150 peace of mind

Damn I'm trying to find just those tips, the cutouts on the bumper just beg to be filled in with larger exhaust tips lol
