RAM Corporate lacks what it takes to satisfy this customer! The VOTS system is a JOKE! The folks at RAM are always touting how much they strive for "customer satisfaction" and how much they "appreciate" my business. I have made so many inquiries about the status of my truck I've lost count. They simply get some auto-typing boilerplate generating robot to answer me with vague and generally meaningless statements. Well they must know, by sending me these "non-committal" responses does absolutely nothing to bolster my "customer experience." This VOTS website thing they present to customers, builds "expectations" that something will happen within a reasonable time frame and yet, no progress is ever seen. And when customers, like me, inquire about their $40K +/- purchase, which I realize is just chump change to RAM, but a BIG HIT to me, they should "deliver" up to date and accurate information OR they should simply STOP do nothing for us!

The person behind the RAM curtain should simply admit that they "don't have a clue" about the status of my vehicle's work-in-process - and - they should resign their position because they are adding ZERO value to the name and reputation of RAM! Sending out this boilerplatted, non-committal empty emails is just pissing off the customer base. Think about it! Do the folks at RAM think I'm going to have anything positive to say about my buying experience? And don't you think with all the social media outlets available to the common person today, that this negative experience won't get broadcast?

I haven't even seen my truck yet and I'm already thinking that I've made the wrong choice.

The bottom line, from what they've written to me is this - "Dear Hank, thanx for giving us your money! We appreciate it! You'll get your truck when we at RAM are ready to give it to you - no sooner - no later. And oh by the way - we at RAM haven't a clue when that's going to be and we don't care what you think of that because we are RAM, the best truck EVER!" NOT!

I am now awaiting another non-committal response from the so called "RAM Program Management Team" but fear not, I won't hold my breath thinking that I should expect anything sooner than whenever they get around to it.

My truck according to VOTS has been in Final Inspection phase for the last 3 weeks! Gimme a break!

Very VERY - unsatisfied customer-to-be!

WOW! Lesson learned!

Should have bought a Toyota Tundra. At least a real person answers your inquiries.

Hank

UPDATE: So this morning I get another robot generated, non-committal type email from RAM that my truck either "has shipped, is getting ready to ship, might ship, or maybe it will ship - sooner or later" but for "sure" the status of my truck has changed from "final inspection" to "maybe we'll get around to shipping it someday." Again, the bottom line is, "Hey Hank - you'll get your truck whenever we get around to giving it to you!" I've given up on making inquiries as my probing just falls on deaf robotic ears. There's not a human in the RAM chain that has a clue about my truck's status. Pathetic I say! And after reading about all the problems you all are having with your RAMs, I really am wondering if I made the right choice. What an awful buying experience this has been. Never ever, was treated so badly by Toyota, Chevy or Ford when buying trucks. All the other manufacturers knew EXACTLY, the status of my trucks during the build process. Continuing to wait and hoping that this truck will come through without any issues. UGH! Very disappointed.
