QUOTE=InDeepWaterBlue;1164812]Curious though, why would a truck have more power loss in the drivetrain? A 4x4 sure thanks to the transfer case for one, but I would think an R/T Ram would be just the same as a 392 Challenger considering the wheel base is similar and last I heard uses a 545RFE transmission as well. Only difference is that a 392 torque converter actually has a 2200 RPM stall where the R/T Ram is has a 26-2800 stall.

I wish ChevyKiller was still in town I keep wanting to steal his set up lol Damn Turbo Hemi's...[/QUOTE]

No the LX's have NAG1's good to about 600hp as long as you dont launch with drag radials or slicks and just walk it out of the hole...

Different trans and the 545's suck up power. Stock 3rd gen hemi 345 at the crank but lucky to get 270-280 to the wheels.

400WHP is very respectable, but that makes me wonder if the Ram intake has effected your dyno numbers that much. By no means am I downgrading your truck I promise, it's just interesting to me that Edmunds and Autoblog dyno'd a 392 and got nearly 450RWHP out of it with no mods. Some say it was a high dyno number by up to 30Hp, even so it's hard to imagine the Intake Manifold design nets gains of 20+RWHP, but if that was the case it makes me want to mount one onto my 5.7L to see what would happen lol I figured the with the factory Intake Manifold being for a truck, you'd just see your peak HP and Torque curves shifted for a better use on that platform. I didn't think it would actually take away that power from you, granted what you're making is no slouch either, you're putting down more power to the wheels than your old 5.7L made at the crank and still have a factory Intake Manifold..
Who knows what the stock numbers would have been last night on the same dyno. I've long ago given up even trying to compare different dynos! But, I have a way you can test your intake theory on your 5.7 as I have a brand new SRT392 manifold just waiting to be tried! I have it FS in the appropriate section so take her and do a before/after dyno!

Thanks Mike, but I'm good

You can buy Mike (MGH) a beer for me though.

BTW...I'm also a Mike,
also have a lowered Black RCSB 4G Hemi
and an L&M Customs built transmission that I'll be bolting in very soon.

They will need a 392 Crank Case our altenator is in the way along with the fuse box and AC lines...

Not exactly true. What they would need is a new 392 timing cover that deletes the mechanical fan and the MOPAR E-Fan. Or just the new E-Fan if you want to be more budget minded. And of course, a custom intake just like the last two SEMA 392 Rams.

If you get a chance I'd like to see some of the custom drop
components/coil-overs Mike set you up with for your drop.

It looks great in the dyno shot

How much drop did you end up with and did he C-Notch the frame like he did on his 4x4?

I currently have a Ground Force 2/3 drop on my 4x4 but would like a little lower,
also considering a Jeep GC AWD transfer case swap like Mike did too.

Sometimes I'm glad I'm so far away from L&M's shop or I'd be there for upgrades every payday.
