Hear that. Out here in the desert we have to over inflate our trailer tires to keep them from blowing up. Sounds weird I know to over inflate but it actually makes the tires run cooler. I blew up two brand new trailer tires (Goodyear Marathons) coming back from Alamo Lake a few years ago in the middle of the summer. When the tire dealer replaced them he told me to but 60 psi in my 50 psi tires if I'm going to run over 55 MPH. I called Goodyear and they confirmed that but would not put it in writing.

Now every summer I pump the tires up and have never had another problem.

Default towing

I agree these trucks are awesome. I own a 36' tt. It's 7000 lbs dry. I pull it with no problem doing 65 if I choose. Good luck and enjoy. I do.

While I haven't towed in such extreme conditions, I too will praise my Dodge for the ease in which it tows.

I have a '86 Ski Nautique and trailer + boat is about 4K pounds. My Silverado towed the boat fine, but did feel sluggish. It was a fantastic truck that I miss dearly, but it's a night and day comparison to towing with my Ram.

Having the Hemi in a reg. cab truck makes it a great tow vehicle.

P71 I presume? I tow my 86 With my 2010 Big Horn Hemi too. No problem at all. Even yanks the car around with ease. Car 3700ish + double frame car trailer 2200 lbs. Probably about 6000 lbs if the car is full of fuel. Hard to believe that's just a little over half what the truck is rated to tow.
