Thanks guys.
Well the consensus pretty much follows my thoughts.
Silver was my 4th of the 4.
But there is one available now with the options I like.

I love white and have had several white cars, however, the one negative of white is it shows rock chips and knicks the easiest.
My white VW I currently have has a splattering of little rock chips and specks on it that stands out quite easily if you are standing a couple feet away from the car.
My darker colored cars, including my wife's Odyssey Touring which has 30k miles on it, is a dark mineral grey and you literally have to get on your hands and knees to see the specks/rock knicks on the front of it.

So though White is my first choice because of the classic good looks and it looks clean the best, it can get marred up easiest.

My tied for second choice is the Dark Cherry or True Blue. Love both, and they stand out more than the uber plain jane Silver.
But Silver is a popular color in all vehicles and also tends have slightly better resale value because of it.

There are two Laramie's I'm looking at that are both in White
Then there is the Silver Big Horn with lots of options, even the Katzskin Leather seats, which are sweet, and a True Blue Big Horn with lots of options and the Katzskin Leather seats arriving at one of my local dealers in 7-10 days.

All are crew cabs and 4x4's with the 8 speed autos.
One of the Laramie's has the 3.92 axle
the other 3 have 3.55's

I'd pick the color based on how particular you are about it being/looking clean and polished....

The lighter the color, the less it will show light dirt. You could have dew form & dry and it won't be that noticeable. Also, after years of washing, you won't notice as many swirl marks in the paint.

A darker color will show every spot of moisture that touches it and will show swirl marks in the paint if you aren't very particular about what touches your paint and/or how often to polish it with a buffer.

I have two black Harleys and a black corvette.... it is almost a full time job keeping them to my standards.

I bought a silver truck because I can drive it in a light rain, and it won't look so bad that I have to immediately wash it....

Good luck with your choice...

Well number one, if you think white shows nicks and scratches the easiest you've obviously never owned a black vehicle! They're 10 times harder to see in white than black.

I'd definitely recommend the Laramie with the 3.92 gears. It's always nice to have those gears for towing or if you want to put bigger tires on it. It sounds like white is definitely the color for you as well so I'd go with that!

Thanks
My very first car was a black car.
After two years of ownership, I knew, that without a doubt I'd never, ever own a black car again....and I haven't. LOL

Yeah I'm leaning towards the white Laramie at this point.
Gonna go see it and test drive it in a bit.

The deal is, they are offering such good deals on the Big Horns, that it may be hard to justify the price difference for the Laramie.
The Big Horns I'm interested in have an MSRP of $45,375 but they are "offering" $10k off the MSRP. But the sales guy said, "he may be able to get more off" and he is consulting his GM now.

The Laramie has a $49,475 MSRP, and I was told they could do $9k off.
I'm going to push for $10k off too but Chrysler isn't offering as much incentives on the Laramie's so it may not be possible.

If the dealer will give me $11k off the Big Horn, that would be
$34,375
If I can only get $9k off the Laramie, that's
$40,475

It's hard to justify spending $6k more for a few options (though nice and convenient) for the Laramie.
What gets me is I like the look of the Laramie better, with the cooler headlights and chrome mesh grill, as well as the fender flares.
But $6k for just a bit better look and a few (realistically) unneeded options???

You should be able to get a 2013 Big Horn right now for at least $11K off MSRP. That's the number I would shoot for, at the least. They were advertising in my area $10,700 off in stock Big Horns just this last week.

Yeah, one of my local dealers is advertising $12k off, but $1k of that is a
"Trade In Assistance". Meaning I'd need to trade a car in.
Which I may not be doing.
So I'd think $11k would be the target.
That includes $3,800 discount from the dealer, the rest is incentive discounts from Chrysler.

I'd bet if you're serious enough and your salesman realizes that he'll work on getting the Laramie down more for you. Otherwise leave them your information, walk away, and see what happens. They'll probably end up calling you within a few days with a better deal.

But honestly even at the $6000 difference I would go for the Laramie. Especially if that's the one you're leaning towards. If you compromise on your original thoughts/wants and go for the Big Horn you'll probably end up regretting it down the road. JMO.

Sounds about right to me. If you do go with a Big Horn with the Katzkin Leather seats, I would like to see a few photos. Actually, I'd like to see photos regardless of which truck you choose. But, I'd really like to see the Katzkin's.

Don't add another shade of gray to the road if you can help it.
