Cool Video: Cherry Bomb Extreme

Hi everyone,

First post/new member. With some research conducted around this forum, I decided to buy a Cherry Bomb Extreme and throw it in. I went to a local muffler shop and when I showed him the Extreme he had a grin from side to side and said "You'll be back here in 2 days begging me to take it off, it'll be that loud." I grinned back and said I wasn’t afraid of loud.

Enough of that, here's the video:

Man I keep on toying with the idea of this. Right now I have a Flowmaster 50. My concern is how it will hold up long term(rust wise)? I have my mds turned off so that's not an issue. Do u still have resonators in?

Thanks. Yea, I love the sound. Its got a nice deep rumble to it and its sweet spot is about 2300-2500 RPMs. The highway speeds (~75-80) aren't as bad as people say. I drove 2 hours from West Palm and after about 15 minutes I didn't even notice it.
I've yet to give her a good pep in a parking garage, but when I leave from work today I think I'll give her a go.

I do still have the resonators. I'm not sure of the difference that it would make if I took them out but since I love the sound now I'm going to leave them in. I had a guy come over at the gas station and ask what I had in and he was shocked I only had a new muffler in. His sister's boyfriend's brother (or something) had a Ram with an entire flowmaster system from the headers and he said it didn't sound as good as mine.
Once I get a chip I'll be turning MDS off. I didn't realize how much it kicked in until I could hear the exhaust get deeper. It doesn't sound bad, it just gets reaaally deep, like "I feel it in my chest" deep.

It should last just as long as the FM. Neither of them are stainless steel and they are likely made out of the same material.

I have one my truck, had it for about 6 months or so and still love it.

It is the reason why I have horrible MPG. You have been warned!!! Lol.

I don't even keep track anymore.

And i meant I'm always accelerating harder to hear it scream and echo off walls.
The sound is addicting so mpg went bye bye. Lol.

But realistically I can't imagine it would hurt at all, if anything out would by a tiny amount if all conditions were the same before and after.

Simply awesome. First thing I wanted to do after trading in my trailblazer ss for my ram was the exhaust. Sadly though, I got the slt trim which only has single exhaust so it's not going to be as simple as a muffler swap. +1 interwebs to you though for great sound!
