I would put that truck back to bone stock condition and take it to another dealer. Really sounds like you have a true lemon based on your threads. Good luck with it.

Make them prove its the exhaust. Otherwise they can't void your warranty. Try another dealership also, mine says that unless they can prove a mod caused the problem, I'm covered. Even though they're soooo slowwwww, they still have common sense.

I tried to warn you. Anything aftermarket no matter how long it has been on the truck will give the dealer a reason to give you a hard time.

Return it to stock even if you have to spend a little because in the end no one on the dealers end or Chrysler will help you because they want your money!

Sad as it is I know but you really need to eliminate any excuses for them.

SELL CLIFF! It will hurt the wallet a little at first, but you will loose the stress....that's more important! Put it back to stock, roll up to a new dealer, and say bye bye.

With the work cliff has done to the truck, I personally don't think a lawyer will touch the situation.....plus, it will be a long drawn out expensive fight with no guarantee .

Sell it and learn from your experience.
Even if you can find a dealer who will work on your truck with a modified exhaust, the computer reflash is a guaranteed warranty breaker.
Before flaming begins, hundreds (if not more) of owners of mutiple brands have been down this road. The one case I'm aware of where the owner exercised his legal recourse and was successful is a lawyer who represented himself, had not modified the ECU, and had the advantage of being able to out wait the factory. It took him well over a year (and a decent amount of money even though he represented himself) to win. His is the only case I'm aware of in ~ 10 years on a variety of different forums where the owner prevailed over the factory over a warranty denial.
When we mod our vehicles, we have to be prepared to assume liability for the vehicle. When we find dealers who are willing to overlook mods (or vehicle usage other than normal operating) its a gift.
Sorry if it doesn't sit well with you, but its reality.

Sad but true, their lawyers have the rest of their carreer to screw you... And they get a paycheck every week from Chrysler to do it.
Ok Cliff here is my thoughts.
Symptoms
1) Burning oil
2) Low compression
3) ticking noise, probably valvetrain clatter.
Me thinks you got a bad head or gasket, or there is a valve on it's way to the crapper.
Change the oil with a high mileage formula, this should help reduce noise for a few miles. 100-200 or so. Put it back to factory and trade it in.
Your other option is have a reputable mechanic tear the heads off the engine and see what's what in there.
Best of luck to you bud, I hate car dealerships who make lame arse excuses for an obvious mechanical failure. Been there.
