I think if I heard some driving clips of the borla I would be sold on it. Choosing my exhaust setup has been the most back and forth crap ever, lol!!! I cannot make up my mind....
This is the case for every mod on the truck (highlighted red).....lol

I put the borla on my Jeep and was not that impressed I wish it would have been a little deeper like your video. I'm going with the flowmaster on my Ram first time I've gone away from borla. Good sound though.

That price seems reasonable to me. Bully's carries the Borla XR-1 Mufflers?
I ordered my stuff a few days ago and damn I am excited for this install. I think I am going to get rid of the resonators during the install as well. If I happen to get to it before you do, I will post a vid so you can see what it sounds like. Here in Chicago, its not often I get to roll around at high rpm's so the added growl on the lower end is something I'd like.

This one is $5 cheaper than the one I bought

Maybe you already answered this, but why didn't you go with a Borla muffler that was 3" single in, 2.5" dual out to tailpipes? That's what I just purchased. I hope it works!

I might be missing something here, but I if our dual tailpipes are 2.25" could we use a 3" in and a 2.5" out? I ordered a 3" in and 2.25" out just like Craig. I told Bullys Performance about this thread to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I can't wait for this install.

You ordered a Borla Pro-XS Muffler, I am assuming. The Borla XR-1 is louder and deeper tone than the Pro-XS. The XR-1 is high flowing, racing muffler.

If you get a muffler with a 2.5" out, you will need some reducers to bring it down to 2.25" which is the correct size for our OEM tail pipes.

Good to know. I had a brief moment where I second guessed myself after I posted that so I checked my invoice haha. No worries, I got the 3" in 2.25" out and the XR-1. Whew.

You should be good to go. Just take it to a shop and have them weld it up for you. The shop will need to have 3 in piping. My pictures kinda show how mine was welded together. I decided to keep mine a slip on system so I can revert back to stock if I want to for some strange reason.

I have been wanting to make a drive by video of my truck with the exhaust but the Army has been keeping me busy and when I get some down time, it rains. I hate Virginia.

Just so I am prepared to tell my install guy what is going on, not to say he can't put 2 and 2 together, but the 3" piping is for what? Is it from the xr-1 to the y pipe, like a 6 inch piece?

And thank you for your service in the Army.
