I thought the same thing. After I got it installed drove straight home and told the wife to go for a ride. Windows up and a/c on, pulled out on to the road which is sort of up hill....she looked at me and paused for a moment and I thought 'uh oh she don't like it' then she smiled and said " that sounds good". Even my 16 yr old daughter said it sounded good! So get the 18"!

I just installed the 22" last Sat. (kept the resonators) and around town is great. However, on the highway with the windows up the drone is annoying as hell. I wish I went with the 24"! I only have about 150 miles on it so far. If anyone considering a maggie drives a lot of highway go 24" and stay conservative. You'll be happy you did.

That's odd, even with the 18" I don't have any drone at all on the highway. The only time I get a hint of drone is at around 35 to 40 mph with the MDS kicks in.

...I run the fat body (11"), think that is one reason I don't drone..

Mine is at 65-70 MPH when it is in 5th gear going up an incline. Once I level out and hit 6th gear it is quiet as a mouse again. I'm debating on trying the Mufflex Drone Suppression Pipe. I just hate to spend $165 and still not like it.
