Need more info first: You said only speeds under 20.

If you let off the throttle does it vibrate?

If it only vibrates under acceleration then your rear pinion angle is too steep.

Or does it only vibrate when coasting?
Hey , the shutter is only there under acceleration 0-20 then its gone . i have never felt it when lettin off the throttle . And if i accelerate real slow i dont feel it at all .

I would be willing to bet your rear pinion angle is too high

Your rear axle is off centered. Track bar drop brackets are pretty generic from my experience.

If you were to un bolt one end of the track bar and wiggle the steering wheel side to side this should get you close to centering the rear axle.

Measure rear axle and slightly move steering wheel to get straight, then your track bar bolt should slide right in. BUT I bet it won't.

As far as the pinion angle goes it needs to be parallel with the angle of the transfer case as a general rule of thumb.

The lower control arms need lengthened or the uppers shortened to tilt your pinion angle down.

I think RCX has a great product but they are more for the do it your self type that doesn't mind doing a little modification work to their kits.

So far I can honestly say that I am not impressed with this rcx kit , the price is ok but I have no other kit to compare it to since this is all I have on the truck . The front end first had a lot of vibrations , the new drop brackets fixed that issue . now if I can get this rear issue fixed up I will be happy . overall the parts seem to be made of good quality material and there service has been ok to date ! But I just wish they did more research into issues people are having with different year rams 09-13 .

Default Update

Update got a hit on another post on dodge talk , he had the same issue with his 2012 .. his pinion angle ended up high also after the rcx 6" kit and he had video of his shuttering 0-30 kms hr etc .. He contacted rcx as I have and they sent him a shorter set of upper control arms which pulled the pinion angle down a bit and resolved the issue . He also says that I could install a rear coil spacer which would also correct the issue by lowering the pinion angle . Any thoughts on this ?? Was told today by rcx to try and reinstall my stock rear upper control arms and it may correct the issue because there 3/8" shorter then the ones in the rcx kit ..

Re install the stock upper arms.

A coil spring spacer will increase your pinion angle.

Your rear axle swings in an arc.

As the axle swings up (the springs compress) thus lowering your pinion angle.

As the axle swings down (coil spacer) the pinion angle raises.

Good to know thanks , ya I did not get what he meant with installing a coil spacer either but then again I am not too up on suspension . I think I may attempt to install the stock uppers myself worth a shot anyhow ..
