Have you thought about just getting a Magnaflow y pipe and muffler and having a shop weld them in instead? That may be cheaper than actually ordering a full catback exhaust.

If you dont have dual outs, and bumper cut-outs...you dont want/need a catback,
The best part of the catback is the dual 5" double walled polished tips.

Completely disagree with that. Not having factory dual exhaust is the EXACT reason you'd want to go with a full cat back so that you can have dual exhaust. And you don't need the bumper cut outs to make that happen either.

It's really too bad you can't get a Magnaflow cat back with the option for side exit though with an 18" muffler.... That's partially what made me go with Flowmaster. Here's how mine looks...

My Bad, I thought we were talking about the Magnaflow CatBack 16869 with massive 5" Tips.

It doesnt fit the non cutout bumper, However they do have several other options for a single to dual, but it only has 3" tips that go below the bumper

Part # 16870 Dual rear for non cut-out bumper (3.5" tips though)
Part# 16867 Single Side exit
Part# 16868 Dual Side Exit

source: http://www.hottexhaust.com/search.ph...B16870%2B17108

Here's a better look at my 16869 and it should be clear based on the photos it's meant to replace the stock duals with bumper cutouts.
The tips are welded to the rear pipe section, and not adjustable if your bumper doesnt have the cutouts.

Stock 3.5" tip

Yes, fully agree. The 5" tips below a bumper without the stock cut outs would look ridiculous. But as you mentioned there are other options with the smaller 3" tips.

I want the single tip regular size catback. I love the look of the duals with the proper bumper but I don't have that bumper and cant see a strong enough want for that muffler set up. So sticking one out but catback system I think.
