Default Catch Can

Is their a need / benefit to installing a catch can on this engine? It seems like everyone here has the big hemi's and I can understand. Does anyone have hands on experience with one on a Pentastar? If so... model suggestions? I'm getting my new truck in a few weeks and if its suggested I will go ahead an have the parts on hand to install.

Thanks for the advice.

If they make a Catch Can for your engine
you can not go wrong putting one on
anything to keep oil from where only gas is suppose to be, you are ahead of the game

gas belongs above the pistons, oil belongs below the pistons

catch cans are universal. mounting is a different story though but yes. it keeps that junk out of your intake. helps keep the oil from lowering your octane.

I have one on order for my truck from 3gcustomz. I will let you know how it goes. I will also be switching to synthetic at 5000km.

Catch cans are a "passive" device.

What is there to let know?

The install went fine. The install kit didn't work, but it was made for a challenger. You have to cut and reuse the hose on the passengers side (the hose provided wont fit over it). There is also a little hose with a 90o bend in it that leads to nothing (near the throttle body), leave it it is a vent for the 8 speed. other than that follow the install sheet on there website. The truck is brand new (2200km), and there was quite a bit of oil in the stock line I took off.

Do you have any more pictures of your install on your catch can? I tried to find the install sheet on the 3gcustomz webpage and couldn't find it.
