I have the 18" Mag and love it. My current setup is Edelbrock Shorties > Stock Cats > Mag Y-Pipe > Mag SI/DO 18" that exits behind the rear tires (No Res).

It has a nice tone to it without being too powerful. When I have a splitting headache it really doesn't bother me.

Personally, I wouldn't go with the 22" Mag as MangoTangoMofo suggested but he hit it right on the head that sound is subjective.

My buddy had a 14" Mag (No res) on his truck and it was nice but if you were in the back seat, you couldn't carry on a conversation.

Everyone has their own taste. My dad thinks my truck is over the top loud and I think it isn't loud enough but don't want it to be permanent so I am looking into another cutout.

I'm sure that either way you will be please and if your not, just do it over

I just had the 18 welded in and deleted the resonators. I have not had an issue with drone and drive city and highway miles everyday. You can hear the exhaust while cruising, but I do not know what people are talking about when they say it "drones". And at cruising speed you can turn the radio on and it goes away anyways. I love it and could no be happier. Best of both worlds IMO.

Exactly what I needed to read...about to swap to 5" black MBPR tips and have to cut resonators out...was worried about drone and MDS sound.

anyboyd have videos of these setups...

I am looking at going with 18 MF without resonators, or a 22 MF without resonators....

I don't want it to be too loud, just a nice note at idle, and if i get on it, it can scream...

In case anyone is wondering, I decided to skip the Maggies and get a Corsa db cat back system. I can't wait to get it installed.
