Default 4.7 liter Ported throttle body.

Just a heads up, for those who have the 4.7 and would of loved to have the following

Moes Performance 78MM Ported Throttle Body 2008-2012 Dodge Ram 4.7L

Moe's Performance has raised the bar again with our new 78MM CNC ported throttle body for the 2008-up Dodge Ram 4.7. What more can you ask for than a straight bolt on mod with no tuning required.

CNC Machined for the best fit and finish
10-12 RWHP Gain!!
Better Throttle Response
Quicker Acceleration

They are now available, I ordered one of these, should be in next week, will post a step by step and review when I install it.

Awesome! I'd heard he was doing these, glad to see it came through. A bit pricey, but still nice to have aftermarket support for the 4.7L. Please post up with honest feedback!

Stupid question. Does anyone know the size of the stock throttle body?

78mm. The ported one is the same size I believe(check on that). But he tapers the inlet and outlet wider. I know the stock intake manifold is also roughly 80mm diameter inlet, so the stock TB is pretty damn close to as big as you could get.

Sorry I'm going from memory, I thought stock was 78 and intake manifold was 80. Maybe I'm wrong and it is 74 and the intake manifold is 78 or 80. I know the manifold is either 78 or 80. I was certain the stock TB was 78 but now that he said 74 that sounds right too. Been about a year since I measured all this stuff.

I also think the intake is 74mm. Would love to see the dyno results!
10hp seems alittle high for just a taper.

Stampede.

I'm positive the manifold inlet is either 78 or 80 mm.

It's coming back to me. I was attempting to adapt a hemi TB to the 4.7. I think the hemi TB was 80mm and the 4.7 intake inlet was 78 mm, and the stock 4.7 TB would be 74 like you said.
