Default My 2010 TRX4 Beauty

The first time I saw my truck was on cars.com while deployed to Afghanistan. Needless to say, I was in love. It took quite a bit of work, but I made sure that it was sitting in my driveway when I got off the plane a month later. And I've been modding ever since.... and plan to keep going

But enough about me, let’s get to the pics and mod list

Here's a few pictures of my truck bone stock. It wouldn't stay that way for long.

MODS

1) Flowmaster 50 Series HD dual exhaust.

2) Duplicolor Shadow painted emblems and side badges (would end up debadging the sides).

3) LED foot well and bed rail lighting with activator switches in the cab. It's hard to take a picture of the footwell lights without them looking blue, but they're a cool white in person.

4) Window tint all the way around.

5) Replaced stock white bulbs with cool white LEDs (reverse, license plate, cargo light, interior dome light, interior map lights). But with my crappy camera, it's hard to get a picture of these so you're just going to have to trust me.

6) Bilstein 5100 front and rear shocks. Front shocks set to 2.8" (I don't have the 'death wobble').

Before

After

7) Custom painted engine cover and cold air intake cover.

8) Traded 17" OEM wheels and tires that come on the TRX4 for the stock 20" wheels and tires for the Sport. I got them brand new from my local dealership for $600. Not too shabby. You guys might not like them, but I love them. Plus they will look great with 35s.

9) Replaced headlights, fogs, and tails with tinted lights. The headlights also have the black housing that I wanted.

MODS TO COME

-35x12.5r20 Nitto Trail Grapplers (will probably have to add 1/4" wheel spacers)

-Paint my brake capilers red. Anyone got tips?

-I'd love to get my hand on a Mopar Sport Performance Hood, because I'd be just about the only TRX4 on the road with one and they look amazing. Let’s face it, I like to be unique.

-Replace interior green LED dash lights with white LEDs? Basically I'm just waiting on the courage and time for this one.

In closing, let me know if you have any questions about any of the mods I’ve made. Enjoy!

Anybody got any advice on painting brake calipers? Certain brand of paint you would use?

Nice looking truck

as for the calipers, duplicolor makes a pretty easy to use caliper painting kit. Either aerosol or paint brush

Thanks man. I bought a can of the duplicolor paint and have looked around at some of the other trucks that have done the same thing, but that red isn't exactly the shade of red that I want. Think I could use the duplicolor caliper paint, then go over it with a few coats of the red header paint that I used on the engine cover? It's rated for 2000 degrees, but I just don't want to deal with it chipping.

Mine is painted red as well and I too do not like the red, but I dont think it was done right, because it is chipping.
I will be re doing them this spring in a different color

I covered my emblems with plastidip black and the glossifier last night. The duplicolor shadow had started to chip. I'll post some pics this afternoon!
