Parking Lights on with Brakes
I have an odd issue all of the sudden. Since i switched my taillights to LED my front parking lights come on when I apply the brakes. I then added the resistors in the rear and the issue is still there. At first it didnt bother me, so I proceeded to install the front switchback LED's. The issue is still there. I read that the issue could be something in the trailer plug, which I checked and its clean. I also read it could be a bad LED so I bought a new set and the issue persists. So today I tried an experiment and took out a rear LED. The front light on that side did not light up when the brake was applied. The other side still had the LED and still the front lit up with the brakes. I installed a regular bulb in the tail and that side still did not light up. I put the LED back in and the front marker went back to lighting with the brakes.
The rear LED's I bought are the Pilot 3157 Canbus LED's.
- Front markers light when brakes applied
- Occurred before installing the load resistors
- Occurs after the load resister is installed
- Trailer plugs are clean and free from issues
- No bulb in rear = no issue
- OEM bulb in rear = no issue
