Before I actually got the hood, I did happen upon a Dodge Ram Daytona wing. Originally I was not a fan of the wing, but one day I saw a picture of it on one of the trucks here on the forum that was NOT a Daytona and I said to myself I think I might like that. I figured if I got it and didn't like it I could just resell it and take no loss. Well I managed to find one for a price that was a steal, and I mean STEAL (those things are $1200 from the dealership) problem was, It didn't really fit the with tonneau cover I currently had on the truck. I decided that I would order a new tonneau cover that would fit with the wing and then sell the old one to make up some of the money from the new. After researching for a while I decided on the Access Lorado tonneau cover. When I finally got the new cover on, boy was I happy I had ordered it. It looked so much sleaker and sexier than the previous cover.

Once the new cover was on it was time to get the wing on. I was back in NC so I drove back over to my friend's shop and he helped me install the wing. There was a broken of screw in one of the holes that needed to be used to mount the wing so we had to improvise. We ended up drilling some small holes into the bed and attaching it using those holes. It got the job done and the wing is nice and sturdy and fits perfect with the Access Lorado cover. Once the wing was on I fell in love with the way it looked and Im extremely happy with the way it turned out!

Well now that the wing was on I needed to find time to have my hood painted at my friend's shop. We found a weekend that it wasn't going to rain and I dropped my hood off since I was still busy and was going to need my truck. I drove around for 2 days with no hood on! Probably not the best idea but it was the best I could do. Anyways, he got my hood painted and it turned out great! I would definitely recommend his shop to anyone needing a paint job in NC.

Here's how I drove around for those 2 days

Here the hood is back and painted!

Then I went and washed and waxed the whole truck:

The mod I did most recently was tinting my tail lights and 3rd brake light. I wasn't sure at first about doing this mod since I didn't want my lights too dark and not having light come through them so the first thing I did was search around for an extra set of tail lights and another 3rd brake light. I found a guy who happened to be selling all 3 for $20 total and I snatched them up immediately. I then went out and bout all the necessary supplies to tint your tail lights (VHT Nightshade, clear coat, wet sand paper, etc.) I ended up deciding that I didn't want to paint the reverse lights so I had to tape those off. That was probably the longest part of the process other than waiting for the lights to dry of course. I ended up going with 3 coats of the Nightshade and the came out perfect.

Taping off the reverse lights:

One coat vs. No coat

3 Coats:

Here's what the lights look like on my truck. Couldn't get the greatest pictures of them because of where the sun was but they get the job done. I was going to get rid of the chrome on the tailgate but I really like the way the chrome goes with the reverse lights so for now thats how it's going to stay.

Then I washed and waxed her after the lights were put on:

What's next? Well I currently have some longtube headers sitting in my basement and a new y pipe and mid piping sections to go with it. I have my DMH dual cutouts on order so when those come in I'll be headed to the exhaust shop for a custom exhaust. Something I dont think anyone on here has seen or done before.

I also have front and rear sway bars waiting to go on as well, but since it is winter up here and we have had snow for most of it those probably aren't going on until the spring.

Ive got a few other ideas up my sleeve that I'm hoping to get done in maybe the next few months but we will see. Now that I have this mod thread started I can just keep adding things as they go on instead of all in one night Hopefully this was enough pictures to keep you guys entertained for a while!

Thanks Jeremiah!

Im really proud of what I've done to my truck. It's the first vehicle of mine that I've ever modded and I cant believe its taken me this long. I love looking out the window at my truck and seeing everything I've done to it. It's an awesome feeling!

Truck looks great! Love the hood! I would definitely get rid of the chrome on the tailgate, IMO. but that hood and rims are awesome on your truck!

I think I will eventually be pulling off the chrome on the sides. Or I may plastidip it black and see what that looks like first. I'm one of those people that like my badges so I may also pull off the chrome and get new badges instead. Im not too sure yet.

I did talk with a member on here (Banr) who designed a bedstripe for me that I just need to have printed and put on but Ill have to wait for the weather to get alot nicer since I probably shouldnt get it put on when its 20 degrees out and snowing. If any of you guys want some graphics designed, I would talk to him.

Other than that the whole exhaust setup is what is next really. Its gonna be awesome but you guys will have to wait and see to find out what I'm going to do

Figured I'd post a couple pics of my subs in the back of the truck

Also forgot to mention that I got some OEM Dodge floor mats for my truck as a birthday present about a month ago. Not the best picture since it is dirty but it will do for now. I have one on either side and then the full width floor mat in the rear.
