Default Creaking coming from windshield

I finally found what was causing the annoying creaking around the dash area on the front window of my 2012 Ram Sport. When its cold and the body of the truck flexes I would hear this creak, creak, creak coming from the lower windshield area. I thought it was the dash, but I was wrong. It is actually two clips that have glue applied to them to help hold the windshield in place during time of fitment. I see no purpose for these especially since they seem to be loose anyway, once the windshield is in place it should not sag. I popped both clips out, the creaking is now gone. Remove the wipers, and cowl covering the lower windshield and you'll see what I'm talking about. Pics are below. I also lined the cowl with some 3M weatherstripping tape as the cowl tended to make noise too. Finally, all quiet in the cab. I might put a piece of rubber in place of the glue and replace the clip, but I can't see what purpose they are serving at this point.

Mine did it mostly when it was cold, but not all the time either. The sun heats up that glue and makes it pliable and it doesn't creak. I noticed it when the truck body flexed hitting a bump or on an uneven surface. Its nonsense that I paid $50K for a truck that I have to fix because the dealer is too stupid to find the root of the problem. Now all the is left is the crooked steering wheel. QA inspection team should be fired.

I have this creak as well. Mostly up in the passenger front dash by the window. Mine goes away when pushing in the dash though. Dk if it would be those clips?

Doesn't sound like its the clips, you can always remove them and see.

Mine also has the crooked steering wheel. To the left. I've gotten a noise a handful of times on the driver side dash. I've pressed everywhere and nothing changed. Maybe that's it.

I have got to check this out!!! Mine started doing this about a week ago and its driving me crazy, I've been pushing and pulling on everything inside the cab to get it to go away and so far no luck. Hope this will be the solution.

Not the issue for me. The clip is glued down tight. Don't have to remove the wipers. But it would make it easier to remove the cowl completely, though. Just push the popits up from under the cowl using something flat (I used the flat side of a flathead screwdriver). There are three of them and a module that acts like a fourth. Then just pull up. You can actually see the clip through the cowl vent on the passenger side (where my noise issue is emanating from) when you have the hood up. I did remove some excess hardened glue. But I'll wait and see if it keeps happening.
