Default Air Lift 1000 Kit

I’m thinking about purchasing an Air Lift 1000 kit to level out my 1500 when hauling a trailer. I have the upgraded suspension from the factory but want to make sure the back end doesn’t sag. Has anyone purchased these? How was the install? Did you have to remove the spring to insert the bag?

Thanks!

Upgraded suspension? Can you explain this a little more?
But many have purchased this exact kit on the forums.
I have a lifted truck and will be purchasing these too.
Install is quite easy as many have explained. I haven't done it yet. But again, many say it is quite easy.
The coil does not need to be removed.
Simply heat up the bag and roll it into a hotdog and slide it into the coil.
Some have even Tee'd off the line to run different PSI on either side of the bag

Hope this helps somewhat

When I purchased the truck I got the “tow package”. This package has the transmission cooler and brake control on it. The sales person said it has the upgraded suspension. Not exactly sure what that is or if there is such a thing from the factory. Sales guy might have just pulled it out of his …

Thanks for the response. I will be ordering the kit today.

Maybe someone else can chime in, but from my knowledge there is no 'upgraded suspension'
I believe its simply the transmission cooler and brake control unit among small outer things.

But it does work with the rams, that I know

baldguy get back to us and let us know what it cost you, how was the install, and if you like the airlift kit. I'm in the same boat and have to make up my mind in the next 3 weeks. I like the TLC kit but don't know if I can justify the expense for just a time or three a year of use.

The cost of this kit is $85-$90 for the complete kit (minus a compressor).
Just an FYI

I think from front struts are different as I know the Outdoorsman are taller by an inch or so.
But I think the rears are the same....but again, I could be wrong

Thanks for that info fNu .. that doesn't sound right does it? lol
You're right on the price. I had them on a Ford and seems I paid closer to $150, so $85 sounds good especially vs $400 for the TLC. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do about leveling the front

Yea, doesnt sound right, but that is the short of it

Level you say....easy.
You can do level spacers. Hell Bent Steel makes some 2" and 2.5" level spacers for sub $100 (there are others as well, such as Ready Lift, etc)
But if you want an improve ride and willing to spend a bit more, I would do the Bilstein 5100 and you have level increments of 0", 0.7", 1.4" 2.1" and 2.75"
But you will notice a ride improvement over stock and you get a nice level
