Default Looking at purchasing 2011 1500 Laramie

Hello all Ram owners out there. I am looking at purchasing a 2011 Laramie 1500 in the next couple of days. I live up north in Bellingham, WA, about 80 miles north of Seattle. It appears 4x4 truck prices are a bit higher up here than in Sacramento, where I moved from last year. I currently own a 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD with all the bells and whistles. Great car for California because of parking space sizes in Cali. I have owned a 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat, 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, and an 89 Dodge Dakota convertible in the past. Wanting to upgrade back to a truck. I have been wanting to go back to a truck as I am out of California and I'm also 6'3" and 325. Not overweight, I like to think of myself as to short for my weight. Anyway I have been looking at Sport Tracs, F150's, Honda Ridgeline's, and now Dodge 1500 and Dakotas. I want the bells and whistles so the Laramie package is the ticket. I know the Dakotas cost up there close to the 1500, and the mileage isn't that much different. I just drove a 2011 1500 Laramie today which is offered for about $36K. Has pretty much everything except moonroof and bed side storage. Everything else is included, like NAV, Sirius, cooled seats, leather buckets. I am trying to get a feel for overall pricing, impressions and such. I know this is a Ram site, but honest opinions are what I am looking for. As I cover all the western states, over to Colorado, for my work, I would appreciate pricing feedback from those areas as I can always travel and pick up one in any of those western states. This is probably one of the longest newbie posts, but if I end up with the truck, I promise to keep anything else short.
Thanks,
Chuck

Hi and a warm Carolina welcome to the best RAM ForumZ on the web. I'm not the first and won't be the last to ask ~ How about posting a few photos of your truck once you get it?

I've bought the last couple of trucks and cars through Internet sales. You might take a look ath the RAM site and pick a few dealers and search their inventory then send an email to the Internet sales for a quote. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum,
This forum is full of great looking trucks; packed with great mod ideas and there are loads of knowledgeable and experienced people here.

I think you will really like the Ram. I'm 6'2" and have to bring the seat forward to be comfortable. The back seat in my QC is usable for passengers even with me driving, so that says something for the interior design.

Enjoy the Z!

Default Check out Dave Smith in Idaho

Hey Chuck, I'm a newbie too and this is my first post! I'm not far...just east of Everett. I pick up my 2011 Ram 2500 Hemi next Tuesday from Dave Smith Motors in Idaho.

The deal I got was $1900 below invoice, free spray in bedliner, $200 in travel credit, $1,000 Alley rebate and 0% financing for 60 months. I'm pretty happy this is the best deal around. Better hurry though as they need to sell some 2011's before August is over.

Not sure if that deal would apply to the 1500 but never hurts to ask.

Let me know if you are interested in the sales guy name/number

That ^^^^ is a good suggestion. Dave Smith sells a LOT of trucks and it's hard to beat their prices.

In comparison, my local Dodge dealer is stickering 2011 Laramie trucks at around $36K with the Big Horn edition going for about $3 - $4K more.

may i suggest that you check out these sites below to save money
maybe pay as little as 1 % below Factory Invoice

now is the time to buy the 2011, Labor Day these sales will end & all the 2012s that are already hiding in storage yards close to the dealerships properties will suddenly appear

here are the sites i mentioned, your company may already be a affiliate, it doesn't hurt to ask, Credit Unions, Federal, State, County, & City employees may also be an affiliate.
