Default Solo performance exhaust

While I had my Challengers, a lot of people bought and experimented with a lot of exhaust systems, all trying to prevent the dreaded MDS Drone, and to get that certain sound they were looking for. I personally went with MBRP cat-back on the '09, and just eliminated the resonators on the '11. I was petty well satisfied, but both had a little drone at certain cruising speeds. A lot of the Challenger owners on the forumz finally went with SOLO Performance exhaust, and most were finally satisified. So three weeks ago when I bought my Ram, I went to their website to see if they had anything for my truck. YES THEY DID! And they even stated in the ad, NO DRONE! So after listening to the youtube video, I ordered the Gen.4 cat-back, complete with all stainless construction, no resonators, and new 22" tips. When it arrived, it took about an hour to install, NO PROBLEMS! The sound? MUSIC! The drone? ZERO! Fit and Finish? PERFECT! I've found the perfect exhaust, at least for me, on the first try! If you're considering an exhaust, go to the tube and give it a listen. They also have a muffler and clamps package that re-uses your stock tailpipes and tips. And no, I DO NOT work for the company, I'm just happy to have found a product that is everything it advertizes itself to be!

Right now it's on a special pricing of $675.00 with free shipping. That's like $75.00 off the regular price. Also check their web-site for the Mach 40 series muffler only, which has the correct hangers welded on, and also includes stainless band clamps. It's made to re-use your stock tailpipes and tips, and it's a lot cheaper. The cat-back kit I bought has new 2 1/2" tailpipes and new stainless 22" tips, no resonators. My '09 MBRP Challenger cat-back cost $1,100.00 in December '08, and that was a group buy with free shipping! That's why I consider this such a great deal. Go to the Challengerforumz and read up on the headaches these guys have dealt with over the last 4 years trying to get some rumble without the drone. Like I said in my previous post, most of them finally discovered Solo, and that's where they stayed. I have No Drone at all, no matter what speed, no matter what gear. Hope this helps.

I found the website, but I can't find anything for a Dodge Ram, system or muffler.

Congratulations.

I do however want to see those 22" tips you speak of....

Go to everybody's favorite on-line shopping site and #251112528743 will show you the muffler only kit. Then you can look at the (other items) to see the cat-back system, including the 22" tips.

Like I said in my original post: I found the perfect exhaust FOR ME, The next person may not like it. I also mentioned the countless people over on Challengerforumz that repeatedly purchased numerous different cat-back systems, paying anywhere from $750.00-$1,500.00 per system, only to pull it back off because of the drone, or because it didn't sound the way they expected. And yes, I know how to turn off mds, so for me it's not just about how it sounds then, but also how it sounds (and runs) all through the everyday driving rpm ranges. I personally think (after having them on 2 different occasions) that magnaflow mufflers are pure junk. A lot of people seem to like them, and that's great---for them. Just not me. Be glad we have plenty of choices, I can recall a time when you had to really search for almost everything aftermarket or performance to fit a mopar, and you didn't find very much!

love it..maggies are junk... gotta know how to set them up.. granted, I guess compared to flowmasters which I have run, i think they are perfect. I've heard Borla's and i think they sound great too and it sounds like with your experience around Chally's, your's sounds great as well. It's one thing to say your exhaust is great and I'm not doubting you..heck, I got my lt headers and cam for that price ... throw a vid up so we could hear how great it sounds.. people with rams locally have seen and heard my exhaust and have gone to my muffler guy and said i want it just like Fred's, everywhere i go like America's tires, i draw crowds around my truck (i shuda took pics of the wheel guys on the floor lookin at my exhaust)... people have taken pics of my exhaust setup to muffler shops and have said, "do this..." I'll agree that it was a bear trying to find performance parts for the new gen hemi's and am glad there are plenty of options now that we can "argue" about ... more is better
