my thoughts exactly, today someone was watching me drive around my yard and he said he could hear it and also noticed some of the plastic moldings (around front bumper and inner fender were all shaking a little with the noise, seems to transfer noise into cab very easily, I think it may be possible that it is something this simple???

Hello gents!

This is my first post in the forums and my truck has a mysterious rattle too.

I can hear it over small bumps and even harsher ones. Its not a constant rattle and sometimes it doesn't do it at all. I cant make out where exactly its coming from but it's definitely the right front/passenger area. Might be something in the door or the dash or suspension ,but everything suspension wise is tight. I thought it might be the plastic cover on the front strut but it shows no sign of wear or damage from rubbing anything. I just installed a HBS 2'' leveling kit last weekend and had the front end realigned and its still there =(

my truck is a 2012 express ,4wd ,hemi ,quad cab,

-David

I had a similar problem on my 2010 1500. I took it in for creaking and a noise, front passenger side. Long story short, they had my truck almost a month by the time I got it back and kept returning it, worse than before. They checked the body, suspension, you name it, they did it. I had a case open with Chrysler, didn't really do anything except the bugged the dealer instead of me. I found a bad u-joint cover, they replaced the entire half axle on that side. After that, they screwed up the ball joint cover replacing the half axle so they had to do that. Like I said, they had my truck total for about a month's time and could not fix it. I got rid of it because it ticked me off. I had 21k miles on it.

It is very frustrating, have the dealer (or do it yourself) check out the "body mount bolt(s)". Had similar issue and that was the problem (right front on mine). Sounds crazy, but that was the problem!

Add me to the list. I noticed it this morning. Sounds like it's from the front passenger side. Here we go. Only have about 2000 miles on it.

I just noticed today a clunking noise from the right rear (sounds like it's from there...) when going over bumps either on a highway or through a field we were driving through when parking for an airshow. I only have 800 miles on it too! I also heard the front end passenger side noise while turning into the parking lot at work. It almost seems like if it encounters a side to side motion while turning it makes that noise. I haven't been under it yet but I'm stumped as to what it could be. Not looking forward to dealing with the service department....
