Default ApacheAv8tr 2012 Limited Build (RCX 6" Lift w/ 37s and 22" Fuels)

Hey guys. So this is my first thread. I need a little help. I finally decided to step out of my comfort zone and take my 24s off my truck and lift it. My 6" RCX lift just came in yesterday and now it's time for wheels and tires. I'm set on 37x13.5r22 Toyo M/T's and I would like to put a set of 22x10 Fuel Mavericks with a 5.00 backspace and -13 offset on there. Will this fit with just a 6" lift or do I need to do a small 1.25 body lift? I've seen a 2012 sport with 37x13.5r20s on his truck and he had just the 6" lift, no body lift. Just don't know if my bigger 22" rim will allow the fit. Any help is greatly appreciated. Pics will come as soon as I get the parts in.

a 37" tire is a 37" tire, no matter the rim size. they will measure the same (or very close) if it was a 17" rim or a 22" rim.

hope that helps!

a 37 will fit with the 6" lift.. however, what gears do you have? i hear it will seem sluggish to have 37s with the 3.55s or lower (pretty sure)

I have 3.55s but I do plan on putting in larger gears soon after this lift is installed. Thanks for your input Macc08

no problem. i also have the 3.55's, I kinda wanna swap to the 3.92s but Im not sure how much is involved there, and im sure its pricy...

for what its worth, I also have 35" m/ts on the truck with a level and the 3.55's. i have no issues and can still light the tires if i try.

With those wheel and tire specs I'm fairly certain you're going to end up rubbing. How bad... that I'm not 100% sure of. But a 37x13.5 tire is big for a 1500 with a 6" lift.... You'll be trimming your inner fender plastic.

yes. i must have missed that part. 13.5" tire is pretty wide. Mine are 12.5 and it comes damn close to rubbing. (not sure how close it would be with the 6" lift.

having said that, you have the best guy to talk about when it comes to lifts/wheel/tire setup replying in your thread. brandonjansen knows pretty much everything there is to know!

Ya Brandon pretty much knows anything and everything there is to know about the tires and lifts.

Brandon would a more negative offset allow for there to be less of a chance of rubbing.. Lets say -24 instead of -13?

With 35/12.50 I had some slight rubbing with level and -12 offset, just had to trim an inch off the bottom.

i had the same setup, 35x12.5. it was super close to rubbing the inner fender liner, i just pulled the liner back a bit with some zip-ties

No a more negative offset would make the problem worse.... Then when you're turning the wheel is push out further which is what makes it rub on the back of the inner fender.

OP, you can run a 37 with a 6" lift but I would recommend sticking with 12.5" wide to help avoid any rubbing issues. As I stated above, you will have issues if you don't. Are you planning on running Bilsteins with your lift as well to level it out?

Ram725 was running 37x13.5 Toyo's on 20x10 -12 offset rims on his 1500 with a 6" RCX lift with Bilsteins at 2.1" (so 8.1" of total lift) and was still rubbing.

Brandon. I wanted to run 37x12.5 but my wheels are 22". Here is a pic of a guy I know with 37x13.5r22. He said he had to do minor trimming
