[QUOTE=xsdbs;888589]Ok, So that is the V1 module. That's why you can't pull the SW version.
The instructions are the same but I think that you may been using the wrong file. The one you need is in the link below:http://www.mediafire.com/?vedk6f30v84e95r

Got it completed. Thanks for the help. Do all 2012 have V2 module and should I have that one?

Or did this update equate to the V2 update?

Most all vehicles will have modules that may not have all the expected SW writtten or fully validated. They may need changes that can't be finished by the time the model is started to be built. These first built vehicles are considered V1, later in the build (usually around mid year) the new SW will be avaialbe and the plants start to build with the V2 modules and the SW updates are made available to the dealers along with a TSB#. You'd go in and have the TSB performed which would not give you the equivilent SW in your modules.
Hope that helps to explain the diffderence in V1 & V2.

Did the ucon nect update to my 2011 ram with RBZ non nav.....freakin' thing still won't download the phone book from my Galaxy S2 with android 4...What pisses me off is that it was working brilliantly with android 2.3.3 I should of never updated....

Now...everytime bluetooth connects it freezes my phone and says bluetooth share has stopped working...doies it twice and then it's ok to manually dial and use all the other features....

Bluetooth streaming even works.....just not able to download the phonebook. ARGH!!!

I'm not taking a jab at you here, but this is why I usually won't do an update when it first becomes available. I'll wait to see if it goes good for others. I know this doesn't help you here.
What network are you on and which model name is the GII? What is the actual Samsung Model #. I'll see if I can locate one that I can borrow to test out, ok.

My phone is a GT-I9100M running on sasktel (same as Bell) in Canada.....everything else works fine except the phone book download.....I waited 5 months before I upgraded....to android 4.0.3......I waited to see if people had issues with the phone...and how it ran....Uconnect is behind the times as the new protocol in the phone seems incompatible with the newer software. Phone runs awesome....uconnect needs an update ....where is it at? ARGH!

Like I said...only Phone books downloads don't work.....but that's a pain because it freezes the phone up...can't shut it off...since uconnect tries every time.

Uconnect is not behingd the time. As you mentioned previously, "your phone was working great till you updated it". So what changed? Uconnect didn't change, your phone SW did. You can only update things so far untill it runs out of memory for bigger files or HW limitations.
I have been testing with the Sprint GII phone that I updated to ICS for the last week. I have not had any issues with PB download. Uconnect will rec & read messages. As with several phones, it doesn't send messages. SMS texting does however work on several phones. What the problem really is has to do with the BT specs are not tightly regulated and are slightly loose. This allows the phone mfgs to try to add little twists to their SW. Doing this will sometimes work and sometimes it doesn't.
The problem here is that either your not doing something or Samsung has messed up the way that the PB information is being sent to Uconnect. The contact information has to be sent to Uconnect in a specific supported file. If it's not, then Uconnect will try up to 5 times to get the information correctly. After the 5th time, Uconnect will basically say "well, if you can't send me the information correctly, then I'm going to go ahead and work without you. This is what you're seeing. It works after Uconnect stops trying to DL the PB. This is a very similar issue that HTC had last year with the EVO & SHIFT when they went from Froyo to Gingerbread. After working with them on the issue, HTC came out with an update that fixed the issue.
