According to my dealer I am at D1. Anyone know what exactly that means? I emailed CS on tuesday and they sent me a VIN. My order was placed 7/5 for a CC sport 2wd, no air ride.
Dealer called and the truck is in. Hopefully will be able to get it later today. SPP, you are beyond awesome! Thank you for helping keep us up to date! Now you can drop us off your list. Thanks again! Will post pics later.
My brother had a Hyundai Sante Fe, and he had a number of problems with it so he got rid of it and then bought a Sorento last year. So far he hasn't run into any problems.
Kia is so aggressive on pricing though he had quite a good deal. Kia is basically eating the bacon out of Hyundai by stripping them off of their customers. They are going for the same clients. Knowing they both belong to the same Korean owner, not sure I understand the strategy there...
SPP I just want to say thank you for the updates that you provided me during this process. Please remove me from your list. Looks like I might have a shot at picking it up this weekend or early next week!
On the list above they are currently stationary. Doing searches yesterday, there are quite a few en route. Remember, the above represents around .0002% of total production
SPP- Dealer called and said my truck is now in Illinois at a "gateway" or some time of shipping facility. How long does it take to get to the dealer from that point? If I'm guessing correctly, the facility is probably in the Chicagoland area and the dealer is about an hour and a half south of Chicago. Chrysler is saying either next Friday or the following Monday now but I just wanted to get your take. Thanks
He's looking at the same system. Ask SBuckman about that yard as it is her favorite place.
That yard is where trucks switch trains also known as "Interchange", it can take some time to do so. It should be relatively accurate if that is the final destination point. Most likely the final destination is Belvidere as that seems to be the delivery point for Chicago.
Congrats on the Dart spp, and many thanks for the updates thus far! I'm quite surprised how quick mine has moved along, ordered 3 weeks ago and its at the border already. Thats a good thing, ISG called today and I have to cough up my 2012 at the beginning of the week. Hopefully there are no issues at the border, not sure the typical delivery time from there to Indiana?

My dealer emailed me today with a status update. He pass along a Vehicle Tracking and Information report that showed the entire history of all scans/movements of my truck since it was built. The target delivery at the dealer is March 20th.
It was built on March 5th.
Considering I ordered it on Dec. 23rd, that would almost 12 weeks in total.
I'm only 120 miles from the plant so my delivery timeframe is relatively short.
Still waiting for my Limited CC, backup log for unloading off rail car at Memphis. I must have an outstanding salesman (been with him for 14 years) because I can call him about my order status and after he checks on the computer, he tells me exactly where my truck is and what's going on.
So to save the pain of reading 2900+ posts....what's the typical order-to-delivery time folks are seeing for NON-ecodiesel trucks? Thinking of settling with a Hemi outdoorsman for the time being until the diesel can be had with all the options I want....
12 weeks seems realistic. If you're lucky you'll get in in little less than 3 months, if there are some snags it will take a full 3 months and perhaps a little more.
However, the weather this winter has apparently played havoc on the shipping routines so what happened in recent weeks in order-to-delivery time could not be representative of normal conditions...
I think we are all right with you with the frustrations of the "Hurry up and Wait" crap that Ram has given us.
Eventhough, I didn't actually order a truck until a few weeks ago... I was telling a buddy of mine, about the new Diesel I was getting last August!! I was originally told that we were going to be able to order a truck last Oct 17th, and the pre-spec's were going to be available by the end of Oct.
Even this time around, they opened USA orders at the beginning of Feb, but they didn't ship the Pre-Spec's until the end of Feb, and they STILL aren't on the lots. I was waiting for a truck to show up, and that's why I didn't order right away.
KEEBEE. I am curious on you ram order. Could you list your order with your options? I am trying to figure out just what is holding my order up. I orderd 2-10-14 and I am still in D status.
I think the waiting for me now will be all on shipping delays as they catch up. Hopefully this storm that went through the US yesterday and today is the last one for the winter.
