According to my dealer I am at D1. Anyone know what exactly that means? I emailed CS on tuesday and they sent me a VIN. My order was placed 7/5 for a CC sport 2wd, no air ride.
Nice trk MaxRam.I'm getting one same color.I've only seen one around in this color and loved it.I agree,it's like the color changes depending on the light. The sun really brings out the sparkle.
BeeThree. Great looking vehicle. Similar look to what I was going for with the True Blue over Black. Thanks for posting the pics. Mine won't be quite as tricked out though.
Bee3,so thats what the Blue streak looks like.Absolutly stunning truck.I went Max steel this time but still love the blues. Most all the vehicles I've bought new were blue except my current(gray) and the one I've ordered.Thought I'd take a break from it this time but I can see I'll be back for blue down the road.Enjoy it:smileup:
Thanks guys, the blue streak and black combo of the outdoorsman completely exceeded my expectations of how it would look. Apparently it caused quite a stir at the dealer as well. Everyone I met couldn't stop talking about how awesome they all thought the color combo was.
Not trying to rub salt in anyones wounds, but I was very lucky and picked up the truck just under 5 weeks after placing the order. Part of the reason was it didn't have to go by rail.
Here's the photo of it all cleaned up as we picked it up. Today I've already installed side steps and will be installing a bakflip vp after lunch.

SPP and everyone else who has been keeping up with my story...
Chrysler rep called my dealer and told him instead of today, the truck will not be in until 3-24. :4-angermax: The Chrysler rep said that they will be taking another $500-700 off the truck due to the fact it'll be almost 11 weeks by the time it comes in, and they promised 8. I guess that's the best you can do in that situation, and I told them I appreciated the gesture, even though I'd like to have my truck! Now if I can just squeeze a free bed liner out of them so I don't have to pay Line-X..

March 11th will be 9 weeks from order for me. The truck was built in the 5th week after order, but there have been several shipping delays. Ram sent me an email saying the delays have been weather related. My truck comes by rail to Memphis and then by transport to AR sometime next week, at least that's the plan. Transport was even halted at Memphis last week due to ice.
Hi spp, I'm a little new to posting on the site but I placed an order for a Ram and cannot track it as I am Canadian. VON/VIN is ES302381 (last 8 digits). Can you please add me to your list of updates?
SPP,
Now that my truck is in, I wanted to thank you for all the updates.
And since it doesn't exist without photos, here they are: http://www.ramforumz.com/album.php?albumid=3270
Thanks again for all your hard work!
2013Ram; Nice truck! I especially like the black headlights and tailights. Is that a radar detector attached to the windshield? (what brand is it?) SBR

Apparently this happens periodically as I've been told. A few of you rode the Chrysler party barge from Mexico to Jacksonville, FL over the weekend. I had to check 5 times I was reading the updates correctly as I've never seen it. I thought I was going crazy but apparently if your vehicle is located in "Vessel, MI", that's code for boat drinks and flip flops (or not...).
All of you are east coast deliveries so this puts it much closer than the Texas border crossing most trucks head through.
And Olli, you are correct (you seem to have my luck...). However, your truck should take the ride this week.

the whole 'it came by a boat' thing was absolutely hilarious. After I got the info from you, I stopped by my dealer to update him (ya, it's sort of sad - I get better information here at times than he has).
When I was filling him in - my truck is in Tampa, Florida, it came from Mexico on a boat. He literally laughed - he thought I was joking. I said no for realz man! He checked - and my truck no longer displayed in his 'sold' orders, like my truck was missing or something entirely. So he didn't have my VIN handy - but that was ok, because I have it memorized for some reason Once he put that in, he found it - and tentatively looks like 11 days from Tampa to Augusta, GA.
that didn't sit well with him, so he said (if I was ok with it) he may send a couple guys down there to pick it up for me. Not sure if that will give it a wonky status or something - but if you see something funny it may be because it's getting picked up and 'hand delivered'.
thanks again for all your help - the GM I've been working with was very appreciative of the information - he had never heard of trucks coming over boat like that before.
if all goes well - I could be posting pictures by the end of the week! until then - I'll continue looking forward to your daily updates
edit: had to come back to ask - you mentioned Jacksonville, but the dealer mentioned Tampa. I'm guessing Tampa because it's on the Mexico side of Florida, but was wondering if you could confirm because you are always right on this stuff. it's a difference of 200 miles between the two. thanks boss!
Any idea on when the next boat will be crossing the Gulf?
I can only picture my lonely truck at the dock watching the ship pull away as it now became separated from his friends.....perhaps tears were shed....maybe that is what we call, "headlight lens condensation"
Is this happening to all of the East bound 25/3500 trucks now due to the railcar shortage?
spp, you can take me off the list please got a call an hour ago truck is @ the dealer picking it up later today. Thank you so much for the help thru these past couple of weeks.
