According to my dealer I am at D1. Anyone know what exactly that means? I emailed CS on tuesday and they sent me a VIN. My order was placed 7/5 for a CC sport 2wd, no air ride.
Mine just moved to D1 with expected build date 5 weeks and 1 day ofter ordered. 1500 Laramie CC with Diesel. Looks like dealer was about right with 8 week estimate.
I know many factors impact timing but hope this helps others.
VON/VIN: ES303866

1000x Thanks SPP! You helped lift the worry off my mind, I won't even check VOTS until St. Patrick's day! Do you think my truck will arrive at my dealer (in Beaumont, Texas) by April 1st? Or am I a April fool?
Just sitting here thinking about the truck ordering process. My truck was actually built faster than I thought it would be (happy about that) but shipping is slower than I thought it would be! The frustrating part is having my truck built before others, and those are now being loaded on trains and my truck is still awaiting shipment! Luckily I will be without internet service for the next two weeks so I can't check my status every day like I have been! This is rough!!!

I AGREE!!! Truck got built in very reasonable timing after ordering than shipping which I thought was going to be the quick part is the longest. Been in shipping for over a month now. It is rough, especially when I sold my last truck 2 weeks into January!!!
Data is still off. I am hoping either I am interpreting it wrong or it clears it self up. I'll ask someone who knows more about this to see what they say.
Once a week I talk to my dealer, and he said that this morning there was a teleconference that involved ALL Ram dealers where they announced that all built Ecodiesel Rams would be held in regional storage lots(like Wonderland for those of us in Central Ontario) until a mass-release date. This mass-release date was said to be April 1st(which seems like a joke, but anywho...) or sooner, and the locations of the regional holding lots would be specifically chosen to enable delivery to be completed to the customer within 72 hours. He said this is exactly why statuses are moving slow or people are getting jumped in que: because they'll all be getting released at the same time anyway. It sounds too specific to be untrue, can you confirm what he said?
It does sound very specific. I know of a few places where things like this are broadcast to dealers, I'll check there. I haven't heard that but then I am usually not in on dealer comms, especially Canadian dealer comms. It's like they want to be their own country or something.
spp, Just a heads up.I noticed nailem is right after me, TMorgan, on today's list and his von is the same as mine.30845440. Hopefully it was just a slip of your finger not Chryslers.Easier to fix that way. Thanks
Looks like you guys both have 3500s. Coming out of Mexico with the border crossing definitely seems to slow things down. Can't really compare to us 1500 truck buyers.
Rumor around the campfire is nobody can get rail cars to save their jobs right now. That was heard both inside and outside the company recently. Totally a rumor as I can't seem to verify it.

hey SPP - thanks for the updates and checks. I'm hoping my truck is still ok - original delivery date (admittedly aggressive) was 17 feb, has since slipped to 16 march (according to Ram Customer Care, which I don't put a ton of faith in). I do stop by my dealer about once a week to check on it, but he doesn't see much more information than customer care shows.
long way of saying - your info has been by far the most helpful and accurate through this whole ordering and delivery process. So when you tell me data not clear, that tickles a bone
if something does happen to be wrong - will they (Ram) notify me at all before too much longer? I'm pretty much at the point that I could find a truck on a lot similar enough to the specs I was building that I would be content. I would even change to a mega-dually over a CC-SRW.
anyway, appreciate all you do - I understand the info you pass out is tentative and subject to change and interpretation so am really thankful for any help and info you give.
and - sorry to see your car stuck too ;( if they only knew how much you do for Ram relations through your support on this forum - they would hand-deliver your car directly to your door!
