According to my dealer I am at D1. Anyone know what exactly that means? I emailed CS on tuesday and they sent me a VIN. My order was placed 7/5 for a CC sport 2wd, no air ride.
Well I at least got to the dealership this evening with a white knuckle drive in the Vette in a snowstorm haha but hey, I pretty much committed to it once I plowed out the alleyway and got on the road!
Paperwork is done, have to pick up the check and drop it off tomorrow when picking up the truck, pics to come!
Ordered Dec 26th, Delivered Feb 14th (not bad considering it was over some holidays)
spp Ditto on the thanks, pretty nice service. Question, how does the shipping process work from Warren assembly to a dealer location in Metro Detroit? They don't ship it out elsewhere only to ship it back do they?
SPP: Thank you for the updates. I have a question tho. I am one of several Canadian orders for the eco-diesel and we have had our orders in now for several weeks. My order was placed 8 weeks ago on Dec. 23. I, and others are locked in the "C" category. Would it not be possible for someone to physically go out and check with the production line and find out what the hold-up is? Is there some specific part they are waiting for? Is there an inspection problem? I have already sold my existing pickup and am borrowing a vehicle so would like to know when I can expect my new Ram.
Thanks so much for any definitive insight you can provide.
It is and your vehicle is there. What happens is there is a large rail yard outside of O'Hare airport where trains come, cars get decoupled/unloaded/etc and reset on new trains before proceeding on. The term for that is "interchanged". It can add time to the overall trip.
I got an update from the dealer they said they expect it tomorrow and I should be able to pick it up on Thursday :smiley_thumbs_up:
spp, if I can paypal you some beer money let me know.:beerchug:
I see the Donlen website is now showing that initial production is scheduled to begin on May 1st for the EcoDiesel Engine. Have you heard anything similar?
Hi everyone, hopefully my truck is being built today!!!!! I have a question, how accurate are they at updating the website that shows status as the vehicle goes down the line? My status shows my truck as production scheduled but it was supposed to be built today? I was hoping to see the frame, then paint and so on but not seeing it yet.
Thanks Everyone, and a huge thanks to SPP for providing the updates!

I believe all the engines are built overseas for the new turbo diesel but I could be wrong. It's possible they are on hold because the demand was greater than expected?
Wow is right. Sounds like we're in the 400 group which is nicer than being in the 8000 group. I would sure like to see yours get out of QA...it would be a sign everything is moving as it should be.
