it is a problem when you have to inform the tech what the fix is.

Yup! You have to inform a "tech" but not a mechanic!

I am a new member & just posted the same problem. Truck won't start & all I get is clicking. Took it in, dealer told me they couldn't get the problem to re-occur so they adjusted my linkage. If someone gets this resolved, please post it so we can all go back to the dealer and get this headache fixed.

My truck does the exact same thing, jump in turn the key and click yet shows no draw on the volt gauge. If you keep trying eventually it will start but seem's to do it during hot weather. I did the same thing took it to the dealership 2 times and of course it would not act up. I am thinking key fob?

Thumbs up No start....FIXED !!!

Hey Guys...
Just picked up my 2012 Sport from the dealer after they FIXED my "random no start" condition.
Only after two days and with me providing 60 pages of backup from Jackson and the Warlock!!!

It is the solenoid on the transmission....absolutely...no doubt....don't let them tell you any different!!!!

It's about a $400 part ++ labour and "stuff".... but it was ALL covered by warranty...no questions asked.

They were a bit condescending in the beginning...but once they read all the evidence and I even provided the part number from Jackson's post....they finally agreed.

I know they have to go through all the motions to justify the warranty claim...no biggie.

At the end of the day....it's FIXED!!

Thanks again RamForumz...you guys ROCK!!!!

Hey All....
Just a follow-up to the other post....
The solenoid part number was 52119435AF for my 2012 Ram Sport Hemi Crew.

So far...so good.
