Well, since it seems to be sort of hard to find LED guides for our trucks, were banding together and creating an ALL Generation LED bulb guide. Also we will include HIDs to make everyones life a little easier. If you have read through a bulb replacement guide you will notice that most of the LEDs bulb # is the same as the halogen bulb number say from PepBoys or Autozone.
Here is a good link also to try and figure out what sort of bulbs you need for ANY vehicle. They way they create their list can be slightly confusing though, LINK, feel free to PM me if you need additional help, Im happy to spec LEDs for any vehicle you'd like.
If you have a list of bulbs to add and high resolution pictures to upload with them please send me a PM or post and I will update this until we have a full listing for everyones truck!!
A little more on reading into LEDs as well, as I have seen most suppliers label their LEDs the same way. We will use the most popular "921" bulb
The p/n for a blue 921 as seen in the pictures below is, 921-B12:
921 <--refers to the bulb type B <-- refers to the color 12 <-- refers to the ammount of LEDs in the bulb
another example would be a red version for the third brake light which would read:
921-R12
Also remember LEDs are polarized, meaning they will only work one way. If you plug your brand new LED in and it doesnt work, pull it out and insert it the other way before making an angry phone call to the supplier!

stock vs HID
Looking to replace my interior lights with Red LED's in my 2015 CC.and putting some under the front seats for the rear foot wells, maybe even the front foot wells too.
Can anyone tell me if the turn signal sockets on the 4th Gens are standard or CK style? I REALLY don't feel like going through the rigamarole of removing the housing to check with my test light if I don't have to. Thanks!

I have a 2011 ram 1500 big horn. 5.7 v8. I want to change my reverse, cargo, license plate, and all dome light bulbs to LED. How do I do this ? Just simply replace the bulbs ? And what number bulbs for each?
All should be a direct plug in replacement. I found only certain bulbs work on the dome/map lights with the ignition off others will not as they don't draw enough current so the IOD circuit cuts power I believe.
Is the first post on the 4th gen trucks still accurate? I have a 2014 Sport with projector head lights and LED tail lights. I've never been more confused in my life! I want to replace my cargo/third brake light, reverse lights, fog lights and license plate lights to LED without getting codes. I want plug and play with no adding resistors etc. Is there anyone who can definitively say what I need or point me to a single kit for my truck?
Are the overhead console "map lights" tough to pull out? I took off the lens, and my big fingers can't seem to grip it enough to pull out. I don't want to break it !
It would be nice to put brighter, white, LED bulbs here.
Any tips ? CAN Bus? I see some people put resistors here, it would be nice to just buy the LED that is compatible without extra resistor.
Regular LEDs work fine for me in the interior. No canbus needed. For the map lights, what I did was I took a rubber band and wrapped it around the bulb and just pull down. Comes off easy.
Could someone put together a kit for my truck? 2012 Ram Big Horn SLT crew cab. I really want to get rid of the awful orange oem map and dome lighting and put some nice bright white led's in there place. Anywhere else I could utilize the bright white led's also. Also point me in the right direction on where to buy? Tried to send SS4Luck a pm but couldn't due to low post count.
I have a '15 Sport with the Dual Lens map lights and rear dome. I've heard from a few people that these can't be done because the aftermarket LED bulbs won't fit without modification to the housing.......any truth?
Also wondering, they are clearly different with sunroof/slider in that underneath the lense is another reflector. I think you have to get at the bulb by removing the entire housing, don't see any screws and will not chance it with pulling.
I have had a lot of problems with my head lights with my HID's, one will go out get it fixed, then the other will go out, then they both go out. Finally got it sort of. Have an HID on the driver side, and a regular bulb on the passenger side. Doesn't look to bad. Could never get it to work correctly. I have an 08 1500 with the 4.7. The change in the new motor and electrical components are the problem.
Made the jump from forever owning Fords to a super clean, low mile 08 1500 TRX4. Want to LED the Front Marker/Blinker, Rear Tails, 3rd Brake/Cab, and Plate..anyone point me in the right direction? I am pretty sure superbriteleds.com did the work for me, just couldn't figure out if I need flashers or anything for this truck or if it is plug and play.
Anyone find any quality and BRIGHT led for the backups yet?
I am on my fourth set that are supposed to be CANBUS and or error free and I still get the dash warning. Irritates me. Set I have now are bright but still have the lamp out
SuperBrightLED DOT com -- Reverse light is 921-WW13-CBT
36 lumens versus 170, for each bulb, (TIMES) 2 bulbs.
New bulbs are insanely brighter.
The two bulbs are not "quite" as bright as my LED Tailgate light bar, which has a zillion reverse LED lights, spread out of 60 inches.
However, together, the two sets of lights do look more more "even", when on at the same time.
If that makes sense.
Would really like some info to replace my 2 map lights, rear dome and Reverse lights to LED on my 2015. I tried to search but there are a lot of pages in this thread. If the OP is still around can we update/confirm the original post 4th gen includes 2015+ trucks?
Assuming you are referring to a 1500, then here you go. Even you don't buy from them, it tells what bulb is needed. Whether or not you need resistors will depend on the bulb you buy or how it reacts in your truck. For example; my reverse lights don't need resistors, but my buddy's truck does. We have the same year truck too. They have a mind of their own sometimes.
I'm glad I found this, I have HIDs already and loving what I'm seeing here. My dome light is super dim. I hate it. It will glow bright blue!!! So didn't notice in the 47 pages but my dome is mounted in the center and not on the rear wall...no cool guy map lights. Same dome light assembly or bulbs? I'll look into it but figured I'd take the shortcut. lol
Also - what's the best Non-CANBUS replacement for the cargo lights?
My bed lights overload the circuit w/ the stock bulbs so I want to swap them for LED's (currently running them via a relay so I don't get the cool fade effect).
Need to know what LEDs( inside, fog, backup & LP) I need for my 2016 Ram 1500(it's my police truck) trying to make it look a little better if you know what I mean. Thanks
Anybody try running CAN-bus LED's in the license plate and reverse lights? If so are there any issues that come with doing this?
I currently am doing this, but just want to be sure that its safe. SuperbrightLED's recommend not to run these style LEDS in a non-canbus system. Thus far I've had no issues or light out messages
I am trying to swap the LED's sodered to my instrument cluster and am having an issue. I took it apart and measured them. They are all 2.8mm x 3.2mm. The only problem i'm having is that I think the voltage on the cluster is not 12vdc. Most of the LED's that size I find are 3.4v. Do you know of a blue LED that would work? I know there are like 30 of them on the board but I want all LED's Blue.
