Just a quick question about replacing the compressor. Is it necessary to evac the a/c system prior to replacing the a/c compressor on my truck, 07 6.7? Nothing else being replaced in the process.
Thanks.
If your clutch is gone, I've been told you can replace it without pulling the compressor... the shop did mine and pulled the compressor, but apparently its possible without doing so.
I've heard that too, but unfortunatly my clutch exploded and my pulley seized up causing my serpentine belt to break. Luckly I was about a mile from my house and was able to limp home.
