According to my dealer I am at D1. Anyone know what exactly that means? I emailed CS on tuesday and they sent me a VIN. My order was placed 7/5 for a CC sport 2wd, no air ride.

SPP, I know you said shipping ends ont he 17th until the new year. How about the plant, when does the plant shut down for the Holidays and when does it fire back up? Hopefully since I am in D status currently it will be build first thing in January.
Thanks again for taking the time to post all of these updates, we all greatly appreciate it.
I don't think it stops (I don't remember saying that...). Chrysler LLC and every other US automaker) is mostly shutdown the week of 12/23 and the first half of the week of 12/30. Each plant has a slightly different schedule so those vehicles that don't get onto the rail car by 12/20 will probably be shipped after the holidays. If I said, that I apologize!
Awesome.. Ordered 11/29 and already in shipping.. Now I wonder how long that process takes to get it to Tennessee...
SPP - Thanks for your efforts.. With the heads up I went ahead and ordered my topper on Friday so it should arrive around the same as truck.. Otherwise I assumed truck would roll in sometime in January....

Spp I know I'm new but I have been following this thread for a week or so and was wondering if you could look mine up too, Vin(last 8) ES233328. If you can thanks, if you can't no big deal.

Thanks for the clarification spp, I don't think it was you that said that about shipping stopping for the holidays. Here's to hoping for a Christmas miracle!

Thanks Again SPP.
It looks like my dealer has similar view you have with Vin Vision. Tells me its on rail car (or awaiting) in Michigan. I have a friend who I have helped order a new truck last Friday, so I guess I will be looking for updates for him.
Cheers,
Curiosity here: How do you see different statuses for shipment when the code does not change? My understanding was that KZ indicated awaiting shipment, however I see many trucks (mine included) that are "enroute" with a KZ code, some are "staging", "awaiting shipment", etc...
There are a lot of subcodes as posted previously. KZ is a big bucket that encompasses a lot of things from built but waiting to be shipped to delivered to dealer.
There are other systems that give me a bit more information about where it is, what's going on with it, and what is expected to happen to it. I use that info based on what I know and can determine if its going to sit or it's about to move. If it's on a rail car or truck, I can tell that too. I try not to infer much. I'd rather say nothing than guess and potentially lie to you.
SPP - Thanks again for all of your help! The idea of the dealers sharing some of their commission with you is a great thought. I'd love to buy you a beer. You make this part of the process much easier. I can't wait to get home from work and see where my truck is.
