Does anyone have any problems and if so what have you experienced.
My Immediate air suspension service-repair comes on at -10 and lower but clears when warmer than -10.
Yikes! I bet know one figured the bugs for air ride would be this extensive, good thing Chrysler cold weather tested. Sounds like a lot of grief to pave the way for future customers choosing air ride.
Got my truck back, they only replaced front right airbag/strut assembly. I'm not thrilled about the outcome. Now that the cold weather has ended I guess I wait and see this november/december and see if its been fixed...
Best of luck! I hope it all works out.Even though my truck is "fixed" now,I have made a deal with my dealership for a 2014,identical to mine, minus the air suspension.I am not completely convinced that it is permanently fixed.I don't want to take another chance for next winter so I'm saying good bye to the air suspension.I won't go into any details but my dealership made me an offer I would be crazy to refuse. My 2013 only had 7200 kms on it so if it is fixed, someone will get a great used truck!
I've just finished up three weeks of -20 to -30 degree weather, haven't had any issues yet thankfully, its worked as it should. Hopefully I don't run into this problem in the future with the cold Alberta winters we get.
I let my dealership know that I had opened a case number with Chrysler Customer Service.I did it just for my own protection in case I went to the next step which would be CAMVAP.My dealership was aware of this.I asked them to work me a price on taking my truck back on trade and putting me into an identical one minus the Air Suspension.I knew in my mind how much I was prepared to spend to jump up one year newer and start all over again.Their price came in quite a bit lower than I ever expected.I jumped at it before they changed their mind!!
Hi there..Jan 6/2015 Around - 15* here today..18000 kms 2013 1500.
I got the evic air suspension repair service message today. The system will not allow me to input any ride height levels. Never had any issue before, this is second winter. We bought it new, and like the air ride system. Off to Dealer tomorrow first thing...hope it doesn't regain it's life while in the warm bay....I have not read any defining solution in anything I've read so far. Hope to have results tomorrow...I'll post anything worthwhile in the fix.
Regards.
I had the compressor and some fittings changed February last year to supposedly fix this problem after 3 weeks in the garage and back and forth with Chrysler engineers. Haven't had any cold weather since then so no problems.
Last night was -28 Celsius and woke up to the truck sitting on rubber stops. Off to the dealer again.
I'm half way fixed....the dealer had it for the morning while I waited...service rep said a new sensor ( under seat i was told ) is needed..tuesday to install as part had to be ordered..don't know how they fixed it this time....or warm garage cured it???? But rest assured I'll be having a long tech talk with the service manager and get ALL the skinny, not rely on just the service writer's verbal answer.Cold here today and still works ok since yesterday. I'll post any further Tuesday.
Regards.
Had the error message today for the first time on my 2013 Laramie. -16 this morning. It went in the dealership an hour after the message came on. Diagnosis: A blown module. Waiting on the part to be flown in.
Im on my second winter here up in Canada with my Laramie and been through -28c many times, Never had a problem yet, I use two wheel, four wheel auto and four wheel lock all the time.
I've read most of this topic because this issue has now struck my truck. First off I'll say that I really love the air suspension, the problem though seems it doesn't like our cold weather. This is my second winter and I seldomly use Off Road 1 or 2. Well last week in -25 weather I needed to check a job site with a foot of snow so I decided to lift it to Off Road 2. It worked fine but then when I left and put it down , only the front went down. Warmed it up and replaced the 40A fuse. Worked fine until today. I was getting up to speed and at the time it usually says "AERO MODE ", it instead gave me the "SERVICE, REPAIR" warning again. And I've got about 70,000km now so I'm wondering what this will set me back. Also wondering if we shouldn't use it when it's super cold, but that seems kinda stupid in Canada, Because that's when we need it more than in summer
well my update after two trips to dealer.. ( warrantee ) first trip they diagnosed ..after checking electrical connections and grounds....fault code directed to faulty control module ( part to order )..under drivers seat...from what I gleaned from them, not a common occurance...some Jeeps yes. I really don't think it was a cold weather issue being a module.works like a charm. In hindsight, a few times it was hesitant in input for up or down.....Part they said $1200. My cost with warrantee 0. BTW only 18000 kms on her...So into the Canadian Winter I head.
Replaced my 40A fuse last night, and so far it's working , but it's only -10 today. I'm supposed to take it in to dealer and get it diagnosed but how will they do that if it's working. I called Chrysler yesterday and they told me that I might still get warranty through good will. I sure hope so
My dealer ended up buying back my factory ordered 2013(with air suspension)(less than 6000 kms) and I factory ordered a 2014 without the air suspension. My truck was in the shop for 8 weeks last winter with air suspension problems. In the end, every component was replaced under warranty, but the problems persisted. Loving my 2014 without the air suspension even though the ride is a bit rougher.
Dropped mine off on Monday after not being able to raise the trucks suspension since Thursday. When I dropped it off it was working so was a little worried. Last night they left it outside in "ship mode" for some testing and it was cold enough that the suspension dropped while it was there. They think they have it narrowed down to the front left air shock.
On order and fingers crossed.
I'm thinking of trading in my 2010 1500 for a 2014 or 2015. I installed some aftermarket air bags in the rear of my current truck to help level while hauling or towing, so on one hand I really want the factory air suspension, but on the other hand I live in Alberta (i.e. cold) and don't want to buy a factory made headache.
I'm curious if there's anymore recent experiences to share. Have they figured the issues out yet? Are the 14's or 15's any different than the 13's?
I dont understand why Chrysler hasn't opened their eyes to something that seems obvious! You have a compressor running combined with airlines and nobody has thought of an air dryer, every single big rig has air dryers, your screwed without one pretty much, heat build up from the compressor, outside airlines= heat/ condensation. Sub zero temps+condensation=frozen airlines. Frozen airlines= no air/ air blockage=drooped air bags. Dealer pulls truck into heated shop, lines thaw, air flows, calls customer, trucks ready...unreal. If no air is getting to all corners because of blockage the compressor runs until it overheats or blows a fuse. Put a F**##N air dryer in the system! LOL

I just purchased a used 2014 w/ air ride in May, since winter came it has been non-stop issues and no help from the dealership. Other than going to the media to shame Chrysler in to fixing my unsafe truck I'm running out of ideas.
Anyone find a fix that seems to work?
Seems to be identical to the majority of claims on this forum; below around - 3c i get an "IMMEDIATE AIR RIDE MAINTENANCE REQUIRED" warning. It's at the dealer right now getting looked at, all bags slowly leak until they're nearly flat. Lack of pressure causes me to cavitate if I hit a bump on the highway, seriously dangerous.
Seems to be fairly intermittent though, some mornings it will repressurize on start up, other times I need to take it in a wash bay to warm up.
Another thing I'm wondering is ref the dealers suggestion of a Nitrogen Flush. If the system is an enclosed nitrogen system how would moisture even get in? And if it did would that not fall on Chrysler as a defect?
