did you shut off the Ram ignition during the progress of updating ?
big mistake if you did, but not permanent
a couple of years back
i had to turn off my ignition to go into my place during a update, i locked up everything, took a pee, grabbed a beer & went outside only to find that the radio had locked up, cd could not be retrieved
then with the spare FOB in my pocket
i once again turned on the ignition, i set about trying to find a way to make the radio do anything noticeable
with one hand on the radio turning knobs & pushing buttons
the other hand pushing door buttons, window buttons, lock/unlock buttons, etc.
THEN i remembered reading that dodge radios are for some reason tied into the CLIMATE control buttons
I again turned the ignition off, took a sip of beer, turned the ignition back on
turned the Fan button as i was pushing buttons on the radio, i pushed, pulled, & turned every button on the A/C & heater & BINGO
the CD disc ejected
I then with the CD sitting on the dashboard, locked the Ram, took another leak, grabbed another beer, double checked to see if i had both FOBs
i turned on the ignition, reread the instructions & went through the whole process from the beginning
i watched & complied with the prompts to make the process proceed
i again had to go indoors, damn beer,
i used the spare FOB to lock up the RAM, looked at the radio through the door window, it was still doing its thing
I grabbed another beer, rechecked the radio, it was still doing its job
found a cigarette, this was better then satisfaction
I let the process run until it started asking for me to do something
i unlocked the Ram with the spare FOB & followed the requests
THEN the screen went black !!
No worries, it was checking itself to see if the download was complete
then it asked another few questions, i pushed the proper buttons
When the process was completed, it Ejected the CD on its own

when i think back on it, the only thing that i didn't try, was disconnecting the battery when the CD was stuck, waiting a bit, then reconnecting it
it may or may not have done something
i also didn't pull the radio out, connecting it up to a 12v power supply on a bench & trying to find the CD release, usually a little hole about the size of a paper clip wire
