Can the SRT vehicles haul or tow anything at all??? I more interested in if the ram srt's can or not? I wonder cuz I was lookin at a photo of a ram srt that had the leaf springs under the rear axle. Now that to me doesn't seem like a haulin kind of suspension but I could be wrong. Any help or discussion with this please??? :4-dontknow:
I have always had rear leaf springs and towing was never a problem. What I am curious about is to see how the new rear coils on the '09's work out when towing/hauling and if people actually prefer that setup?
the heaviest load I did is about 1,200LBS (tiles,mortars.. evenly distributed though..) it seemed like it handles well(not bad as I worried))..of course leaf spring is away better when I compare with other single cab v6(2003 company truck)
The regular cab srt10 trucks were not made to tow anything. Can they? YES..... The SRT10 Quad Cabs had a lower Tow rating, and could be ordered with a hitch. Boost
Yeah, they can tow but not as much as their regular suspension brothers. But small to medium size boats, a trailer with some quads or watercraft on it, a small to medium utility trailer, sure...no problem. The tow rating should be in the owner's manual.
I just wouldn't install a 5th wheel hitch on it or try towing a 20' travel trailer with one.
