The Hushpower by Flowmaster is pretty awesome. I don't have it, but drove a truck that did. Loud outside, quiet inside. Nice balance and great rumble to it.
well here is what im going to do w/mine.....
straight off the manifolds in to two 3" straight pipes to the back of the cab then into 5-6" stacks up each side of the of the front of the bed i am not going to merge them into one pipe i am going to give a new meaning to "straight pipe exaust"
I bought mine truck when it came off the engine into a single muffler and then to duel pipes out that back. I went to my local muffler shop had them cut right before the y-pipe of the engine and right after the y-pipe coming out of the muffler and had them run duel pipes. Very, very loud if that is what your looking for.
I have an 06' 1500 i just put flomaster series 50hd. Dual exhaust out the sides on an angle behind the rear tires with stainless steel tips and i love the way it sounds. would definitly recommend flowmaster.
All these post when the guy asked for prices and only got pref of exhausts, I was wondering how much for a Flowmaster system dual to come out behind the rear tires would run.
If you want something that is nice and sounds good, go to a local exhaust shop that CAN do a good job (dont want somthing looks like some used bird shit and bubble gum for a weld) and have them make you a true dual set up with a H pipe. Many people will try to tell you a X is the way to go but it proforms at high rpm when the H proforms through just about the whole rpm band(trust me on this I build drag and roundy round engines for a living), and then run no mufflers unless your state laws says you must have them, then you can get some cheap glasspacks and then run a pipe through them and weld um. Here is a video of my truck thats done this way(after parts and all I might have around $275 or $300 in it) just to give you a idea what it sounds like and just how loud it is, also its a 4.7
I had custom dual 40 series flowmaster on my 5.7 and it sounds amazing. Everyone that hears it loves the sound. sounds better than friends trucks who have it on their chevy, ford. Best one ive heard on dodges
well the daytona came with ss borla was a lil mellow at first was going to replace it......look up the cost of system i have $$$$$$ kept the $$$$$$ in my pocket......well 50000 miles later its broken in.
I had a Flowmaster 40 single in and duel out on my 03 for 120,000 mile it drove me nuts the drone was so loud inside. On my 08 I put a Flowmaster 70 series single in duel out cost 380 buck with stainlees tip and sounds nice out side alittle sound inside but when you mash the gas the sound is only out side. I love it.
I'm all about the Magnaflow sound. I've got a 14" SI/SO Magnaflow into a custom made hi flow Y-Pipe going to dual 3.5" tips (22in.) straight out the back. Great sound & performance, especially with my intake & front custom Y-Pipe. Very mellow in the cab, but real deep & throaty from the outside.
