:SHOCKED:i was just wondering if anyone knows how to get a white truck to really look clean and shine. I own three white vehicles and take very good care of them. I just have never been able to find a product to really make them stand out and shine. Always looks like i ran it thru at the chevron, although i spend at least 6 hours on it. :4-dontknow:
I really wanted to see if I could get a nice wet look to my paint. White is notorius for not getting that "wet" look.
Steps taken:
- Wash
- Clay Bar
- Meguiars Polish (applied with my DA Buffer)
- Meguiars #26 Yellow Wax (applied by hand)
- Meguiars NXT 2.0 Liquid Wax (applied by hand)
- Mothers Back to Black on all trim
- Once over with Meguiars Detail Spray
Its an overcast day (hell, driving off from this photo session it started raining :bawl. 7 hours of detailing down the tubes!!
This is the "wettest" I have ever seen this paint. That NXT stuff is awesome!
and of course....pics! what else would you expect?
see next post.......I can't post more than 12 pics.
man......that is sone beautiful truck. i bought my ram used and have tried everything. may be the years of uncaring before i owned it and i refuse to have someone else do it. how exactly do you apply the clay? thats one thing ive never done
Debadged the tailgate today.(Sides soon to follow) If they ever want to hold the space shuttle on the launching to test the thrusters NASA should ask Chrysler what adhesive they use on these emblems.
On the better side of the coin i love the end result.......
