Default Wheel bearing issue...

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4

So as I'm driving my truck down the road I notice a loud sound coming from my front right tire...sounds like womp womp womp womp womp(great sound effects I know)..and the sound is only as I'm turning. A friend of mine is riding with and says that it's my wheel bearing and so I take it to the shop and have them take a look at it and they say yup its def your wheel bearing and you need to change it ASAP. So I change it and afterwards it still makes the same sound. The mechanics told me after changing it, the sound might still be there but I know that it's not a normal sound and I was seeing if you all had any idea of what it could be. I know I installed the new wheel bearing correctly but maybe it's an axle issue or something?

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Josh

90% of the time a noise like that will be your bearing. However, if you changed it and the the noise is still there, tis not you bearing I think. When's the last time you rotated your tires? You may want to rotate them just to rule out a tire going bad. If it's not your tire, then I would venture to say that your axle is radiating the noise from the front diff.

Hey thanks for the info, I haven't had my tires rotated since I got them almost a year ago and I have just been putting it off so I'll go and get that taken care of this weekend and see if I can rule that out and go from there.

I'll keep ya updated

Once again, thanks!

Josh
