Talking Wanted to share a couple pics of our new Pierce!

It took TWO YEARS to finally get her here and outfitted but damn was the wait worth it!

500 HP 1650 TQ Detroit Diesel
5000 gpm pump
500 gallons foam onboard
84,000 GVWR -(techically illegal on the highway) oops

two 1500 gpm guns on the tower with camera

IFS and a ton of sweet goodies

Thats a Texas Chute. I dont know why TX gets all the credit for cool creations but I like TX so eh

I didnt get a picture of the hose racks that pull out the rear for loading. SUPER cool if they don't break over time....

That is a sweet tower!!! The only trouble is that they keep getting BIGGER and BIGGER. How big it the ladder. I see it's a Pierce. Is it the sky Arm??

Yep, it's 100'. And YEP! I do love it but it is almost too damn big! And, it has the ^@@#$ DPF Filter and urea I hear a local city (Downey) is having to take their newest Engine OOS once a week for regeneration! That's BS, they should have an exemption.

Now, you have to burn fuel at high RPM for +/- 40 minutes to SAVE emissions?

That Regen sucks. One of our guys almost set our FD a blaze with our new rescue because he didn't know about it. We are trying to get our 2 pumpers replaced and we wanted them to be DPF delete but we were told that it's to expensive for the engine manufacturers to have 2 engine lines an that we are S.O.L.
