Default 24" Magnaflow w/ Y-pipe

I see that there are actually a few people interested in the same set-up as I have. I have the Magnaflow 12388 3" Single/In / Dual 2.5 Out muffler welded into the stock tailpipes with Resonators. I also have 10778 Y pipe installed to replace the stock y pipe. Hope the sound quality is all right took it from the phone. Love the sound and it isn't too much.

I love the sound which I know is what really matters, but tell me your opinions. Let me know! Hope I could help someone else out and make them spend the same money as me...

Man that sounds awesome in the driveway but is there any chance you can post a clip from the cab while doing say 60-65 mph? I'd like to hear two minutes of that before I pull the trigger again. I put on the 18" but after two trips on the hwy pulling my boat I took it back off and sold it, it was just too much for long periods. I know a lot of people will disagree and to each his/her own I say. The fellow member from BC who has it now says he loves it. Oh and if you don't mind me asking what did the y-pipe set you back?

Definitely shouldn't be a problem at all guys! The resonance on the freeway is hardly noticeable and that is the main reason I went with the 24". I towed a car hauler with a 97 mercury grand marquis that I bought for my parents on it almost 500 miles to northeast ohio and I didn't mind it at all! I was thinking I would be disappointed after hearing everyone recommend the 18". Glad I went with the 24".

As far as the cost, I bought the y-pipe with free shipping off of amazon for under $30, and the local shop wrote it up as $150 for the custom bending and pipe. Wasnt any place special, it was the local Mieneke. I could have probably got it cheaper shopping around. However they were already doing the repairs for a accident I got into(http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=86095 )on the exhaust and I can't complain at all being that they did great work!!

Anyways enough babbling and will try and post a video for you guys over the weekend!

Crash....I'm with you on the 18". While I love the sound of it for everyday driving, the drone while pulling my camper I can do without. I also thought about taking it out and going with something different. Maybe 22" catback, or the 24" I saw above is now got me thinking.

OP...Thanks for taking the time to post this. I have the Y still not installed (Magnaflow had it on back-order and I couldnt wait to get the exhaust on) and got mine from Amazon too. I figured I would put it on sometime. I really want the improvements of the Magnaflow, but not sure the family can take the drone much longer.

Yeah Gingerbreadman that about sums it up for me. On a side note how hard was it to install the lockpick? this is another thing on my to-do list! Nice color choice on the truck too!

Crash, the Lockpick was crazy easy. I did a quick write up on it not too long ago.

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread....352#post567352

Now people can come to this post to spend more money on a Magnaflow and a Lockpick!
