Got my Injen about a week ago and wasn't sure if I was going to keep it. The filter housing wasn't chrome...bummer! Called Autoanything telling them I wasn't happy and they took off another 10%...total price delivered...about 245.00! Installation was TIGHT!! I did order the 2010 model, one guy didn't say anything and was going to ship me one, another said it wasn't made for the 2011. So....all this babble and I haven't driven it yet! Will drive it tomorrow and take pics. I know... I suck!! Give ya'll a heads up tommorrow!

Well, after all that reading, I'm looking into AFE Stage II and Volant (although the K&N OEM replacement is tempting...) any word on who has AFE's on the cheap?

Volant, eh? What makes Volant so much better than anyone else? I briefly looked at the Spectre kits in AutoZone, but then I decided that it would end up looking ghetto. All I personally care about is that my intake seals up to the hole in the fender like OEM, flows freer than OEM, and a little flash in the engine compartment wouldn't be bad.

Also, all the positive reviews on the Predators have me leaning that way pretty strongly. Their website isn't the best, whereas Superchips has a very easy to use website. Leads you to believe the end product would be nicer on the Superchips. Opinions?

it's just personal preference...it's very argumentative what the 'Best' is...to Volant users they are...since I'm not one of them i don't agree, but it's still a good cai...

Thanks RB. I tend to agree and so far have only gone with a drop in as I haven't seen one I'm willing to spend $400 for.

Just curious, This may be a dumb question. But I've read a lot about how the 4th gen air box is more or less a "CAI" So why would anyone go buy an aftermarket one for $250 - $400 +++ when all you would need to do is put in a more free flowing filter? Or is it more then that? Kinda new to all this.
Thanks

The tube from the box to the TB is also inadequate. Most aftermarket CAI's have a smooth tube to promote better airflow. If you look at the tube on the 4th gen's it's rigid.
