I'm gonna add that you should be sure to put a relay AND some sort of fuse inline when wiring your lights up, regardless of the method that you use.

If you tap in to an available light source (such as your headlights, high beams, fog lamps, etc) the relay is a must, as it'll help balance out the electrical load being pulled on that circuit. The fuse is a must for obvious reasons (although it became obvious to me the hard way many years ago, but that's another story)

I am actually working on a driving light install right now.



I had a pair of 100W Blazer driving lights laying around so i am gonna throw my 55W HID's in them and mount them on the truck. The crossbar was too high for the 6" lights, so i have a offset that I am mounting to move them closer to the grille and down an inch and a half or so.

Ill have some pictures up soon, the paint is drying on the offset pieces. Im giving them 48 hours or so to harden so i dont ruin them instantly.

I'm looking for a factory looking switch. Like the one they include with the fog light kit made for trucks without the harness built in.
