looking forward to some results from the track
anyways I caught this thread yesterday among others and picked up the Jet stat. today from the local speedshop $42
It looked identical to the one I took out including the little check valve (blocker) that Chef. mentioned. Straightforward install and big thanks to MADDOG for the ole madmax gallon bag trick LOL. Just took some misc. pics, a very simple do. Initial 45 minute afternoon ride showed an average 185 degrees on coolant. Oil pressure went up 7 psi, thats always good. Tomorrow morning in rush hour I will be able to really compare the before/after install..thanks again fellas. Now to see if it equates at the track
. One more thing if I need to do it again I would be swapping it out in the following morning or so, I waited 3 hours and the coolant was still warm and some leftover pressure, when I pryed up the old thermostat, I lost another quart of coolant, no biggie.
